- Insert 2 new UM-3 or "AA" 1.5V batteries observing correct polarity.
- Use a pin to press the "RESET" - button located in the battery compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover and set the unit in the desired location.
PLACEMENT TIPS:
Please observe the following guidelines to ensure optimal operation of the device:
- Assign each remote unit to it's own channel.
-
Place the receiver unit (Weather station) and remote unit (thermo-hygro sensor) within 1 meter to each other and enable the manual search for available signals of all remote units on the main unit (Weather station, not included) Do this by pressing the [▼] button on the back side of your weather station. Wait until the measured value appears on the display.
-
Next, set the remote unit at a place where air circulation and sun protection is guaranteed. Please select a rainfall-free, shady place for measurement. The international standard height for temperature measurements is 1.25m (4 ft) above the ground.
- When batteries are nearing depletion, the symbol [+] is displayed on the sensor and weather station.
Note that the effective range is vastly affected by the construction material of nearby buildings as well as the position of the remote unit and possibly greatly reduced by external sources (various radio stations and other sources of interference). If no reception is possible, we recommend to try different locations for the weather station (not included) and remote unit. Sometimes all it takes is moving the device by a few inches!
