SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - General

• Please read these instructions carefully and retain them for reference.
• Use this appliance solely in accordance with these instructions.
• Without supervision this appliance may not be used by children or persons who have a physical or mental restriction and therefore are not able to use the appliance safely.

• Have any repairs carried out solely by a qualified electrician. Never try to repair the appliance yourself.
  Children younger than 3 years should not use this device without adult supervision.
  Always switch the appliance off if:

• It malfunctions while you are using it.

• Before you start maintenance.
• You fit or remove accessories.
• You have finished using the appliance

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - Electricity and heat

• Verify that the mains voltage is the same as that indicated on the type plate on the appliance's adapter before using the adapter.
• Always remove the plug from the socket when you have finished charging the device and when you are no longer using the adapter.
• When you remove the plug from the socket, pull by holding the plug, not the flex.
• Check the adapter's cord regularly to make sure it is not damaged. Do not use the adapter if the lead or the adapter is damaged. A damaged cord must be replaced by a qualified electrician.
• Never leave the device charging for more than 3 days.
• Do not use the device near heat sources such as radiators, or in full sunlight.
• Make sure the adapter do not come into contact with water.
• Always use the adapter supplied with the appliance. Do not use the appliance in combination with other types of adapters.

OPERATION - General

The appliance is only intended for domestic use, not for professional use.

FUNCTION - Charging the batteries

1. Insert the adapter plug (6) in the charging station (4) and plug it into the power outlet
2. Place the control unit (1) in the charging station.
3. Turn the control unit to the right. Make sure the symbol corresponds with the symbol
4. The first time you recharge the control unit recharging will take approximately 3 to 4 hours.
5. Remove the control unit by turning it counterclockwise.

The adapter and the control unit can get warm during charging. This is normal. It is recommended to move the control unit before use and let it cool for some time.

FUNCTION - Before first use

Fill the spice mills to your own preference and liking with peppers, salt or herbs. Remove the Twist-cap of the spice mills and fill the reservoir. Do not fill the reservoir for over approx. 75% of its capacity.

FUNCTION - Use

You can use the 5 different spice mills manually or fully automatic.

Manually:

1. Take the spice mill from the spice carousel.
2. Hoover the spice mill above the dish.
3. Turn the twist cap to grind spices and to sprinkle them on the dish.
4. Place the spice mill back in the Spice carousel.

Fully automatic:

1. Take the control unit from the middle of the spice carousel.
2. Take the spice mill from the spice carousel and pull the twist cap off.
3. Fix the control unit on top of the spice mill and turn a quarter turn. Make sure that the symbol corresponds with the symbol.

The coarseness of the spices can be adjusted with the 'screw' in the bottom. Turn it to the right for a finer grind, turn it to the left for a coarser grind

1. Hoover the spice mill above the dish.
2. Press the grind button (2) to grind the desired amount of spices. The light is lit at the bottom at the same time.
3. After use, remove the control unit from the spice mill by turning a quarter turn.
4. Place the control unit back on the carousel in the right way. See instructions at "Function-charging".
5. Place the twist cap back on the spice mill and place it back in the spice carousel.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly with a dry cloth.

• Don't use any aggressive cleansers.

Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquid.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE - Changing the batteries

The batteries of this device are rechargeable. There is no need to replace them. However, in case of defect batteries, you can replace them by opening the battery compartment by pressing the 2 white tabs on the bottom of the control unit towards each other. Insert new rechargeable batteries and press the control compartment back into the control unit, the two white tabs snap into place again. Let the device charge for 4 hours before you use it again.

• Dispos of packaging material, such as plastic and boxes, in the appropriate waste containers. When this product reaches the end of its useful life do not dispose of it by putting it in a dustbin; hand it in at a collection point for the reuse of electrical and electronic equipment. Please refer to the symbols on the product, the user's instructions or the packaging.

• The materials can be re-used as indicated. Your help in the re-use, recycling or other means of making use of old electrical equipment will make an important contribution to the protection of the environment.

• Contact your municipality for the address of the appropriate collection point in your neighbourhood.

GUARANTEE TERMS

The importer guarantees the appliance against defects caused by manufacturing and/or material faults for 60 months from the date of purchase, subject to the following conditions.

1. No charges will be made for labour costs or materials during the warranty period. Any repairs carried out during the warranty period do not extend the warranty period.
2. The importer automatically becomes the owner of any faulty parts that he replaces or a faulty appliance (in the event of replacement of the appliance).
3. All claims submitted under warranty must be accompanied by the original bill of sale.
4. Claims under warranty must be submitted to the dealer where the appliance was purchased or to the importer.
5. The warranty is issued solely to the first purchaser and cannot be transferred.
6. The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

a. Accidents, incorrect use, wear and/or neglect.
b. Faulty installation and/or use in a manner contravening the prevailing legal, technical or safety regulations.
c. Connection to a mains voltage other than the voltage specified on the type plate.
d. Unauthorized modifications.
e. Repairs carried out by third parties.
f. Careless transport, i.e. without suitable packaging materials or protection.

1. No claims may be made under this warranty for:
   a. Losses incurred during transport.
   b. The removal or changing of the appliance's serial number.
2. The guarantee does not cover power cords, lamps or glass parts.
3. No claims can be submitted under this warranty for damage other than the repair or replacement of faulty parts. The importer can never be held responsible for any consequential loss or damage or any other consequences, resulting either directly or indirectly from the appliance supplied by the importer.
4. In case of claims under guarantee you can contact your dealer where the appliance is purchased. Bestron offers you also the possibility to send the appliance directly to our Service Department. Do not send your appliance without consulting us. The package may be refused and any any costs will be for your account. Please contact the Service Department and they will tell you how to pack and send the

apppliance.
