POSITIONING OF THE MACHINE
-
Do not use the machine outside. This machine is only suitable for household use indoors. This air humidifier may not be used for commercial or industrial purposes.
-
Place the dehumidifier on a flat, even surface which is strong enough to support the machine with a full water reservoir.
-
Leave at least 20cm on each side of the machine to provide good air circulation.
-
Place the machine in an environment

where the temperature will not fall below 5^ . The radiators may freeze, which will reduce the machine's performance.
- Do not place the machine near a dryer, heater or radiator.
- Use the machine to avoid moisture damage.
- To be as efficient as possible, the dehumidifier should be used in a closed room. Close all the doors, windows or other openings to the outside in the room.
- The wheels can only move forward and backward. Do not force the wheels to roll over the carpet, or move the machine with water in the water reservoir. The machine may fall over and water may spill.
USE
Let the machine run for 24 hours when you use it for the first time.
- The machine is designed to work in an environment with a temperature between 5^ and 35^ .
- If the machine is turned off and turned on again quickly, give the machine approximately 3 minutes to restart correctly.
- Do not connect the dehumidifier to a shared outlet which is used for other devices.
- Choose a suitable location with an easily accessible outlet.
- Connect the machine to an earthed outlet, where the voltage is consistent with the voltage listed on the machine.
- Make sure that the water reservoir is in the correct position, otherwise it will not work properly.
REMOVING THE WATER IN THE WATER RESERVOIR
There are two ways to remove the water from the reservoir.
1. Use of the Water Reservoir
- When the machine is full, it will stop automatically and the 'full' light will turn on.
- Slowly remove the water reservoir from the machine. Hold it securely by the handles on the left and right and pull the reservoir slowly out straight, so that no water is spilled.
- Pour the water out and place the reservoir back in the machine. The reservoir must be placed correctly back in the machine so that the dehumidifier will work properly.
- The machine will resume functioning when the water reservoir is replaced correctly in position.
2. Continual Drainage
The water reservoir can be automatically emptied via a drain by connecting a water hose to the machine. (circumference: 12mm , not included).
The outlet for the drain is located on the back of the machine.
- Pull the rubber stopper out of the opening.
- Insert the water hose through the opening into the machine. Connect the hose tightly to the drainage outlet and make sure that the connection is tight and that no water can leak out.
- Lead the hose to the location to which the water is destined, such as a floor drain. Make sure that this point is lower than the drainageoutlet.
- Make sure that the hose runs vertically, so that the water can drain quickly. In other words, there should be no kinks in the hose. (see figures)
NOTE: when this continual drainage is not used, make sure that the rubber stopper is not in the drainage hole.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Turn off the machine and pull the plug from the outlet before cleaning the machine.
1. Grill and Housing
Use water and a mild detergent to wipe the grills and the housing clean. Do not use bleach water or abrasive agents.
Do not pour or spill water directly onto the machine. This can cause electrical shock, damage to the insulation or rust on the machine.
The grills where the air enters and exits can easily become soiled. Use a vacuum cleaner accessory or a brush to clean it.
2. Water Reservoir
Clean the water reservoir regularly to prevent the growth of mould and bacteria.
Partially fill the water reservoir with clean water and add a bit of mild detergent. Rinse the reservoir with this solution, pour the solution out, and rinse the reservoir.
After cleaning, the reservoir must be replaced correctly into the dehumidifier so that the machine will function.
NOTE: do not use a dishwasher to clean the reservoir.
3. Air Filter
The air filter behind the front grill grate should be checked and cleaned every 30 days. NOTE: Do not put the filter into the dishwasher.
To remove the filter:
Remove the water reservoir from the machine.
Pull the filter down.
Clean the filter with warm soapy water. Rinse the filter and let it dry before putting it back. Do not clean the filter in the dishwasher!

To replace the filter:
Put the filter back into the space behind the grill grate and push the filter up.

NOTE: never use the dehumidifier without a filter. The machine may get clogged by dirt and dust which will negatively affect its performance.
4. When the machine has not been used for a long time
- Turn the machine off and wait a day before emptying the water reservoir. This gives the machine a chance to drain and there will be as little residual moisture in the machine as possible.
- Clean the machine, the water reservoir and the air filter.
- Roll up the cord and attach it to the machine with the attachment band behind the machine.
- Cover the machine with a plastic sack.
- Store the machine upright in a dry, well ventilated place.
