OPERATION

This cordless kettle quickly brings 1.7 litres of water to the boil. It is practical to use as it detaches from the stand. The kettle is equipped with an indicator lamp in the on/

off switch, a thermostat and safe boil-dry protection. The hinged lid never gets lost and the removable limescale filter ensures that no particles of lime are poured out with the water. The level indicator clearly shows how much water is in the kettle.

USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

  • Remove all packaging from the appliance.
Clean the appliance, see 'Cleaning and Maintenance'.
  • First boil a full jug of water in accordance with the procedure in 'Using the appliance', in order to clean the jug.
  • Dispose of the boiled water. If you then refill the kettle with water, the boil-dry protection cools down and the kettle is again ready for normal use.
  • Continue with the procedure in 'Using the appliance'.

USING THE APPLIANCE

  • Remove the kettle from its base, to avoid spilling water on the base during filling.
  • Open the lid.
  • Fill the kettle between the minimum and maximum marks. Too little water can result in the kettle switching off prematurely, and too much may result in the kettle boiling over.
  • Close the lid.
  • Place the jug on the base.
  • Insert the plug into the mains power socket.
  • Switch the appliance on by pressing the on/off switch under the handle downwards. The indicator lamp in the on/off switch will light. The kettle will switch off automatically as soon as the water boils.
  • If desired, boil the water one more time. Wait for at least 30 seconds, however, after the kettle has switched off automatically.

  • Pour the water slowly, so that any limescale particles remain behind on the limescale filter in the pouring opening. If the kettle is accidentally switched on whilst empty, the boil-dry protection will automatically switch it off.
After use, remove the plug from the wall socket.

NOTE

If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may splash over.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Warning:

Before cleaning the appliance, always switch it off, unplug it from the electricity supply and allow it to cool down completely.

Cleaning

  • Do not clean the appliance with an aggressive or abrasive cleaner or with a sharp object, such as a hard brush or a knife.
Clean the exterior of the jug with a damp cloth.
Always clean the base with a dry cloth.
Take the limescale filter out of the pouring opening.
  • Rinse it under running water.
  • Reinsert the rinsed limescale filter in the pouring opening.

Regularly descale the appliance. Depending on the hardness of the water, scale deposits may become attached to the inside of the appliance. The harder the water, the more often it is necessary to descale the appliance.

Dscaling

Use a descending product intended for household
