OPERATION

This sandwich maker can be used to grill toasted sandwiches or sandwiches.

USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

  • Remove all packaging from the appliance.
    Clean the appliance, see 'Cleaning and Maintenance'.
  • Close the lid of the sandwich maker.
  • Insert the plug into the mains power socket.
  • Allow the appliance to warm up for ten minutes. This will allow any dust and manufacturing residues to burn away. A small amount of smoke may be released from the appliance whilst it is warming up. This is normal and does not indicate a problem with the appliance.
    Make sure there is sufficient ventilation.
    After ten minutes, remove the plug from the plug socket.
  • Allow the appliance to cool.
  • Continue with the procedure in 'Using the appliance'.

USING THE APPLIANCE

  • Insert the plug into the mains power socket; the red indicator light will turn on/off.
  • Allow the appliance to heat up. The green temperature indicator light will go on once the appliance has reached the correct temperature.
  • Open the sandwich maker from the lock.
  • Place the bread on the plate. Thanks to the non-stick layer it is not necessary to spread butter or oil on the bread, however it is advised to do so if you want a golden-brown crust on the bread.

- If problems should occur within 2 years of the date of purchase, which are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, you can present the appliance at your point of sale in exchange for a replacement.
