How to clean the Inventum HZ30 heating pad?

Unplug the device before any cleaning. The switch can be cleaned with a dry cloth. The removable teddy cover can be hand washed with a delicate laundry detergent. Do not machine wash, do not bleach, do not iron. Make sure everything is completely dry before reusing.

The heating pad turns off by itself after a while, is that normal?

Yes, the HZ30 heating pad is equipped with an automatic shut-off after approximately 90 minutes of use. The temperature levels then flash. To turn it back on, set the switch to 0 (off), wait 5 seconds, then select a heat level again.

Can I use this heating pad for a child or a person with reduced mobility?

This pad should not be used by very young children (0-3 years). Children aged 3 to 8 can use it under adult supervision with the switch set by an adult. Persons with reduced sensitivity to heat should avoid using it. For children over 8 and disabled persons, supervision or awareness of risks is required.

What are the different temperature levels and how to set them?

The sliding switch allows you to choose between 3 positions: 1 (minimum heat), 2 (medium heat), and 3 (maximum heat). Position 0 turns off the device. For rapid heating, use level 3 for the first 10 minutes, then lower to avoid overheating.

What to do if the pad no longer heats up and the lights don't turn on?

This may indicate that the ISS safety system has irreversibly deactivated the device. First check that the outlet works and that the switch is on 1, 2, or 3. If nothing lights up, the pad must be sent to after-sales service for repair. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.

Can I use this heating pad to warm a bed or for animals?

No, this pad is designed only for warming human feet. It should not be used under a bed or for animals. Additionally, do not use it with shoes.

How to store the heating pad when not in use?

Let it cool completely, then store it in its original packaging or flat. Do not fold the pad and do not place objects on it, as this could damage the internal wires. Keep it in a dry place.

What is the power and electricity consumption of the HZ30?

Is the cover removable and washable?

4 operation

4.1 Safety

CAUTION

This foot warmer is fitted with the INVENTUM SAFETY SYSTEM (ISS). This electronic sensor technology prevents the entire surface of the foot warmer from overheating by automatically switching off in the event of a fault. If the safety system switches off the foot warmer automatically as a result of a fault, the settings are no longer illuminated even when the foot warmer is switched on. Please note that, after a fault has occurred, the foot warmer can no longer be used for safety reasons and must be sent to the service address indicated.

4.2 Initial use

Insert the mains plug into the socket.

4.3 Switching on

To switch on the foot warmer, set the slider for ON/OFF and temperature settings to setting 1, 2 or 3. The temperature setting is illuminated when switched on.

4.4 Setting the temperature

Setting1: minimum heat

Setting 2: medium heat

Setting 3: maximum heat

NOTE

• The fastest way to heat up the foot warmer is to select the highest temperature setting of the controller, first.

NOTE

- This foot warmer has a fast heating function, which allows the foot warmer to warm up faster in the first 10 minutes.

WARNING

If the foot warmer is used continuously (for several hours) it is recommended to use the lowest setting (1) of the control to avoid overheating of the feet of the user, which may lead to burns to the skin.

4.5 Automatic switch off

This foot warmer is equipped with an automatic switch-off function. This turns off the heat supply approx. 90 minutes after the initial use of the foot warmer. The temperature setting display then starts to flash. So that the foot warmer can be switched back on, the sliding switch for ON/OFF and temperature setting must first be set to setting O (OFF). After about 5 seconds it is possible to switch it on again.

4.6 Switching off

To switch off the foot warmer, set the slider for ON/OFF and temperature settings to setting 0 (OFF). The temperature settings are then no longer illuminated.

NOTE

If the foot warmer is not in use, switch the sliding switch for ON/OFF and temperature settings to setting 0 (OFF) and unplug the mains plug from the socket.

5 cleaning & maintenance

WARNING

Before cleaning, always remove the mains plug from the socket first. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.

CAUTION

- The controller must never get in contact to water or other liquids. Otherwise, the controller may be damaged.

To clean the controller, use a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.

Small marks on the foot warmer can be removed with a damp cloth or sponge, or if necessary, with a little liquid detergent for delicate laundry.

CAUTION

- Please note that the foot warmer may not be washed, chemically cleaned, wrung out, tumble dried, put through a mangle or ironed. Failure to do so may damage the foot warmer.

The removable fleece lining can be washed by hand.

Use a delicate laundry detergent and measure it out according to the manufacturer's instructions.

WARNING

- Only use the foot warmer again once the foot warmer and fleece insert have fully dried. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.

6 storage

If you do not plan to use the foot warmer for a long period of time, we recommend that you store it in the original packaging.

CAUTION

Please allow the foot warmer to cool down first. Otherwise, the foot warmer may be damaged. To avoid sharp folds in the foot warmer, do not place any objects on top of it while it is being stored.

7 disposal

Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.

• Guarantee is not valid in case of:

• normal wear;
• damage through misuse use or when the instructions were not followed correctly;
• lack of maintenance;
• not following the operation- and safety instructions;
• incompetent montage or repairs made by yourself or others;
• using accessories and spare parts which are not suitable for the appliance;
  for assessment by our technical department.

• The guarantee is not valid for:

• normal wear;
• external cables;
• (interchangeable) signal- and controllamps

When the guarantee is no longer valid or when the period of guarantee has passed, we will charge any costs that flow out of an assessment and/or repairing.

On request we will supply a statement before repairing. Without requesting a statement, we assume that you, by sending the appliance, automatically order to repair the appliance.

A guarantee period of two months is valid for repairs done by our technical department and the used spare parts, counting from the repairdate. When a malfunction occurs within this period which directly flows out of the repairs and the used spare parts, the consumer has the right of repairs without any costs.
