The Fysic FW-300 is an infra-red lamp which helps to relieve aches in the muscles and joints. This device emits the same type of infrared light that comes from the sun.

The filter in front of the lamp ensures that only the infrared light that is needed for the therapeutic effect of this lamp is emitted.

Because infrared light penetrates the upper layers of the skin, the body will be well and comfortably warmed. Because of this warmth your body temperature will rise, this will cause your heart rate and circulation to rise. This stimulates your metabolism and will cause increased detoxification.

Because of this increased detoxification, built-up lactic acid will be able to clear faster and muscle aches will decrease. Not only will acid be cleared faster, nutrition will be transported at a faster rate. This will enable the body to recuperate more quickly from strain or an affliction.

The heightened metabolism will also enable the muscles to access better oxygenated blood which makes them longer and more supple.

The infrared lamp also has other uses apart from it's therapeutic use: You can use the infrared light to make it easier to thoroughly clean your face, as the warmth from the lamp will widen the pores. This will also enable creams and salves to be absorbed by the skin more quickly.

The infrared lamp can also be used to make the muscles more supple as preparation for a massage.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTION

• Never use this device in a moist environment, such as a bathroom or near a swimming pool.
• Never allow water to get inside of or on the device.
• This device can only be used on a mains power of 230V .
• Never leave this device unattended while it is active.
• This device is not a toy. Keep the device out of reach of children.
• Avoid sitting distances that are too short from the lamp to prevent overheating the skin. Only use this device at a distance of 30~cm or more as indicated in this manual.
• Do not look directly into the light of this lamp to prevent damage to your vision. Keep your eyes closed if you are using the lamp to treat your face.
• Prevent overly quick cooling of the treated area after using the lamp. Always allow your body to cool at body temperature and do not expose yourself to cold (outdoor) temperatures right away.
• Please consult your doctor if, after 6 to 8 treatments, there is no improvement in the suppleness of your muscles before you continue using this device.
• NEVER use this device::
• If you are suffering from serious illness such as systemic lupus erythematosus, heart failure, acute inflammation, thrombosis, illness related to blood clumping or other blood-related illness.
  If you are suffering from an oedema.
• If you are NOT sensitive for infrared emissions and heat, caused by, for example, diabetes or the use of painkillers.
• If you have a condition that affects the nerves due to demyelination, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, multiple sclerosis or ulnaris neuropathy.
  If you have an electrical implant.
• If you have any kind of swelling, inflammation or a wounded, damaged or irritated skin.
• The use of heat-emitting devices on places where you are suffering from psoriasis or eczema can worsen this condition. Keep close watch on these places while using the device.
• Do not use the device on places where you have applied cream or salves with an anti-inflammatory effect, such as Aloë Vera or menthol.
• Do not use the device while your skin is wet. Ensure you dry well after a bath or shower if you plan to use this device afterwards.

• Protect the device from strong impacts.

• Always unplug the device after use and during a power failure.

• Always place the device on a flat and stable surface.
• Ensure the ventilation roster on the back of this device is never covered, and take care that the device will have at least 15cm of room on each side to ensure proper heat-dissipation so the device is prevented from overheating.
• Never cover the device on any side.
  Always allow the device to cool down for 15 minutes before you clean or store it.
• Never use the device if the filter, the plug or the power cord is damaged in any way.
• Never attempt to replace the lamp, the filter or the power cord yourself in case either is damaged or no longer functional, but contact our service department.
• Always carry the device by the handle if you want to move it or adjust the angle during use.
• Attention: The glass of the filter will get very hot during use.
• Never use scouring pads, polish or aggressive fluid such as petrol or aceton to clean the device. Clean the device with a soft cloth. If a disinfectant is needed we advise to put a few drops of denatured alcohol on the cloth.
• Ensure you will drink adequately if using the device. Due to the increased body heat caused by this device the body will lose moisture at a higher rate. If you expose yourself to multiple treatments each day you should increase your fluid intake.
• Always consult your doctor or medical advisor before using this lamp if you have a serious condition.
• Ensure the power cord does not come into contact with the filter while or right after the device is used, to prevent damage to the power cord.

USAGE

1. Always fully uncoil the power cord before plugging it in a 230V power outlet.

2. Place the device on a flat and stable surface; On the floor, on a table or on a stool - depending on the surface you want to treat. Place the device so you can tilt it to the spot to be treated while you can sit comfortably. Here are some examples concerning placement:

3. Place the device on a table and sit on a stool, with your back towards the device, to treat your back. By tilting the device you can choose to treat your higher or lower back.

4. Place the device on a table and sit next to it to treat your shoulder, arm or elbow..
5. Place the device on the floor and sit on a stool next to it to treat an aching calf or ankle.

6. Place the device on a high table and sit in front of it to treat your face. Please ensure you keep your eyes closed during all facial treatments.

7. Press the On-button (5) to start the treatment. By default each treatment is set to last 15 minutes. Do not exceed this treatment time.

8. By pressing the timer button (4) you can lower the treatment time by one minute for each press.
9. Increase your distance from the device if the warmth you experience seems unpleasant. Ensure the distance between you and the lamp is never less than 30 cm.
10. Always allow the device to cool for 15 minutes before you store it. A warning lamp next to the time display will stay lit as long as the device is warm. Once this lamp is off you can turn off the device, unplug the power cord and store the device.

DISPOSAL

• Packing can be re-used or recycled as per your local guidelines. Please dispose of packing material using the guidelines set by your local government. We advise to store the packing, so the device can be packed properly in case of a move or when sending it for repair. If you encounter any damage to the device due to transport while unpacking it, immediately contact the seller.
• This device may not be discarded with household trash at the end of its service life. Dispose the unit at a suitable local collection or recycle point. Follow the local regulations for disposal in accordance with the EC directive for waste electrical and electronic equipment 2002/96/EC (WEEE)

WARRANTY

You have a guarantee of 24 months after the date of purchase of this device. We guarantee during this period the free repair of defects caused by material- and construction faults. This at the

importers discretion. It is only possible to claim to the guarantee when you enclose your purchase ticket with the device.

HOW TO ACT:

If you notice a defect, consult the manual first. If this manual gives you no definite answer, consult your dealer with a clear description of your complaint. He will collect the device together with this guarantee card and the dated purchase ticket and he will take care of a prompt repair, respectively free sending to the importer.

THE WARRANTY EXISTS:

When used inexpert, faulty connections, use of unoriginal parts or accessories, negligence and defects caused by fire, flood, stroke of lightning and natural disasters. With unqualified modifications or repairs by third persons. With incorrect transport without a suitable packing. If the device is not handed in with the correct filled in guarantee card and the purchase ticket.

All further responsibilities, in particular subsequent damages, are excluded.
