Instructions for use
- Only use the specified batteries in the unit. Replace spent batter- ies in due time and dispose of them properly.
- Do not place the froth maker on hot surfaces, such as cooking tops or similar, as it could be damaged.
- Children do not recognise the dangers which may occur when handling electric appliances. For this reason, never leave children unattended when handling elec- tric appliances.
- Do not immerse the unit in water.
- Do not process hot liquids as well as solid foodstuffs, such as berries, as the unit could be damaged.
- In the case of misuse, wrong handling or incorrect repair no liability will be taken for possible damages. Claims under guaran- tee are also excluded in such cases.
- The appliance is not designed for commercial purposes. Putting into service Prior to first use, the batteries, which are not part of the scope of supply, have to be placed. Two 1.5 V batteries of Mignon / AA class, type LR 6 or the rechargeable ele- ments (accumulators) type KR have to be used. Put the switch on posi- tion 0. Apply light pressure on to the ribbed surface to open the bat- tery compartment. When placing the batteries, please observe the polarity marked in the housing. Subsequently fit the cover again; the ribbed surfaces have to be on top of each other. When the speed decreases notice- ably, the batteries are low and have to be replaced. If the froth maker is not used for a longer period of time, the batteries have to be removed from the unit.
Instructions for use GBUse The unit is suitable for processing small quantities of liquid. The power of the unit is not adequate for pro- cessing thick foodstuffs or larger quantities. Thoroughly clean the unit prior to first use. In order to prevent splashing during processing, switch on the motor only when the spiral whisk is in the liquid. A vessel with a high rim, such as a drinking glass, is suited best for this reason. Soon after switching the motor on, the liquid in the vessel will start tur- ning with the spiral whisk. This should be prevented by moving the froth maker in the opposite direc- tion. As soon as the froth rises, move the froth maker to the top so that the spiral whisk always works only just under the surface. Frothing up milk Basically any kind of milk can be used, but its freshness and degree of pasteurisation may have an influence on the result. As a rule, milk with lower fat content can be better frothed up. Fill a quarter of a glass as a maxi- mum. Permit the milk to rest for one to two minutes after proces- sing to permit the froth to obtain ideal firmness. When the froth is skimmed off, the remaining milk can be frothed up again. Preparing mixed drinks Fill two thirds of the glass as a maximum as the liquid could flow over otherwise. Do not use firm ingredients, such as berries. Whipping cream Process a maximum of 100 ml of well cooled cream like milk froth. Preparing salad dressings The ingredients can be mixed in a glass without any problems. Beating egg white Crack a maximum of two egg whites into a vessel. In processing, please make sure that spiral whisk is always only slightly below the surface. If the spiral whisk is immersed too deeply, the speed drops considerably and the reque- sted result is not obtained.
