Before you use the devise carefully read the instructions below. Before you use the blanket you must make sure that the voltage in your home is set between 230-240V, this is the voltage of the electrically heated blanket. Do not use any extension cables/ leads.

Do not use the devise if the electric lead is damaged, this can result in overheating, fire or injuries. Do not jam the lead between bed bars, mattress, slats, wall or any other parts of the bed. This can damage the lead.

Do not use the lead with a bed that is used by a baby, disabled persons, paralysed persons, diabetics, and persons insensitive or oversensitive to warmth or persons who do not understand the instructions and/or are not able to operate the controls properly.

Young children are not permitted to use the devise, unless the devise has been preprogrammed by an adult/parent or guardian, or the children have received correct instructions on how to operate the devise safely.

Roll the fastening ribbons away and fasten them to the other end of the heated blanket, through and under the mattress.

The electric lead and the control unit must remain outside the bed and may not be left in the vicinity of any source of heat, such as radiators or lighting/lamps.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Plug the electrical connector into the blanket's electrical fixture.

Plug the devise into the socket.

Adjust the regulator at the side of the control unit to the "1" position.

Press the "mode" button to set the temperature of the blanket. Press the "+" or "-" buttons. You can make a selection from "1" to "8" for the different temperature settings. "1" is the lowest temperature and "8" is the highest temperature. Select "foot" if you wish to heat only the foot end of the blanket.

TAKE CARE: temperature selection "8" is the highest temperature setting. This setting is used only to quickly preheat the blanket. After 30 minutes this setting will automatically set itself to position "3".

Press the "timer" button to adjust the length of time you wish to heat the blanket. Use the "+" and "-" button to set the time from 1 min to 12 hours.

Press the "preheat" button to preset the time for start heating. Use the "+" and "-" button to set the length of time you wish to start preheat, between 1 minute to 19:59h . We recommend to preheat the unit on position "7" or "8". This setting cannot be used for sleeping on. For heating during sleeping set to position "3,4 or 5" to your desired comfort temperature.

After completing all of the settings mentioned above, press the "start/stop" key to switch the heated blanket on. Press the "start/stop" key again in order to switch the devise off.

Note: When using the devise for the first time a light odour may be detectable. This is normal and is caused through the use of new materials. The odour will vanish quickly.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Maintenance of your heated blanket is easy as long as you follow the steps set out here below.

TAKE CARE: always remove the plug from the socket and the heating element from the blanket before cleaning. When washing your blanket you must follow the instructions here below or your blanket can shrink. This can cause overheating, fire or injuries.

The blanket cannot be dry-cleaned. Dry-cleaning agents will damage the wiring.

Do not use bleach or use stain remover.

Do not use a wringing machine or a mangle.

Do not iron the blanket.

The blanket can be used only if it is completely dry.

Do not use mothballs or sprays on the blanket.

WASHING IN THE WASHING MACHINE

  • Use a liquid detergent for wool or delicate materials.
  • Select the washing programme "wool" or delicate.
  • The temperature of the water must not be higher than 30^ .
  • Remove the blanket from the washing machine, hang it up completely unfolded, and let it dry in the fresh air. Do not use clothing pegs or any other type of fasteners on the blanket.

WASHING BY HAND

Pleat the blanket and leave it to soak for 15 minutes in lukewarm water, not warmer than 30^ . Use a detergent designed for wool or a detergent for delicate materials.

Knead the blanket softly by hand.

Rinse the blanket in clean, lukewarm water. The water must not be warmer than 30^ .

Remove the blanket from the water. Unfold it completely and let it dry in the fresh air.

Do not use clothing pegs or any other type of fasteners on the blanket.
