Batteries

Replacing the batteries

Remove the cover of the battery compartment on the bottom of the scale.
Take out the old batteries and and replace with 2 new ones, ensuring that they are positioned according to the correct polarities +/-.
Fix the back cover back on top of the battery compartment.

When discarding of old unwanted batteries, it is important to follow local recycling guidelines to ensure they are disposed of safely and responsibly.

Using the Scale

Switch On

To switch on the scale press the "POWER" button.

To Weigh

  1. Place the scale on a flat surface and place the bowl on top of the platform.
  2. Press the "POWER" button to switch it on.
  3. You can start to weigh when the display shows "0".

To Change Units

To change the unit of measurement press the "UNIT" button. Choose between grams (g), pounds and ounces (lb.oz), millilitres (ml) and fluid ounces (fl.oz).

Tare Function – Add and Weigh

The tare function is useful to calculate the weight of ingredients that cannot be put directly onto the platform, for example flour or liquids that require a container to hold them before being weighed.

The tare function is also useful for weighing different ingredients into the measuring bowl as you go along, for instance once you've added the first ingredient to weigh, press the "POWER" button and the scale will return to zero "0", which allows you then weight the next ingredient accurately.

Automatic Switch Off

The scale will automatically switch off after 60 seconds of no use.

Manual Switch Off

You can manually switch the scale off at any time by pressing and holding the "POWER" button for 2 seconds.

Low battery This symbol gives advance warning that the battery will run out soon.
No battery power remaining This means it's time to change the batteries.
Unstable weight This is shown when weight is not stabilised or the scale is not on an even surface.
Overload This means that the maximum weight limit has been exceeded. Remove some ingredients to prevent damaging the scale.

Cleaning and Care

When using this scale, please ensure it is used on a dry, flat even surface.

The scale is not waterproof, therefore should not be exposed to moisture or submerged under water.

To clean the scale, use a slightly damp cloth to wipe over it. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaning products to clean the scale.

If you plan to not use the scale for a long time, remove the batteries before storing away.
