USER MANUAL VG COG 1 Venga

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance, and always follow the safety and operating instructions.

USE

Protective coating burn off will cause smoking on first use. This is NOT harmful and will disappear after a short time.
- When using for the first time, wipe the surface of the plates with a damp cloth, then dry.
- Close the sandwich maker and plug into the electrical outlet. The red pilot light will come on to indicate that the appliance is switched on.
- The green pilot light will come on as well when the cooking temperature is reached. During use, this ready light will come on and off regularly. This simply means that the thermostat is regulating the appliance's temperature.
- Attention: during operation, the baking plates heat up. Pay attention not to get burned. - When the appliance has reached the desired temperature, open it and lightly brush the grids with butter, margarine or cooking oil to avoid that the foods stick to the plates.
- Put the foods on the grill plate. Make sure the foods are not too thick, so that you can close the appliance.
The cooking time depends on the type of food you are grilling. To avoid burning the foods, check regularly during the cooking process.
- To remove the food from the grill, use wooden or plastic tools. Never use sharp tools as they might cause damage to the grill plates.
- When grilling is finished, unplug the appliance and leave it open to allow it to cool down.

CLEANING
