Putting into use
Before using for the first time
- Remove the packaging. Then take the lid off the deep fat fryer. In the deep fat fryer you will find a frying basket. Take all objects out of the fryer.
- It is highly recommended to clean the lid, casing, container and frying basket as described in Cleaning.
30 English
- Please pull the connecting cable out of the cable compartment.
Electrical connection
- Make sure that the iron voltage (see name plate) and the line voltage match.
- The mains plug should only be inserted into a correctly installed 230V~50Hz socket with earthing contact.
Connected Wattage
The total power consumption of this device can be up to 2000 W. With this connected load a separate supply line protected by a 16 A household circuit breaker is recommended.
CAUTION: OVERLOAD:
- If you use extension leads, these should have a cable cross-section of at least 1.5 mm².
- Do not use any multiple sockets, as this device is too powerful.
Useful hints for use
- Always remove the food remaining in the oil (e.g. pieces of French fries). After the device has been used several times you should change the oil.
Use high quality frying oil or frying grease.
- Fats and oils must be heatable to high temperatures. Do not use margarine, olive oil or butter: they are not fit for frying, because they start to smoke already at low temperatures.
We recommend the use of liquid frying oil.
WARNING:
Please note this important information if you intend to use fat!
If you use fat, please divide it up into small pieces. Turn the thermostat to a low temperature and add the pieces slowly. Once the fat has melted and the correct oil level is reached you can set the desired temperature on the thermostat.
Under no circumstances should you place the fat in the deep frying basket!
- In order to reduce the acrylamide content of food containing starch (potatoes, cereals) the temperature during deep-fat frying should not exceed 170°C (or possibly 175°C). Furthermore, the frying time should be kept as short as possible and the food only fried until it turns golden yellow.
- Please note that the safety switch (4) is operated when the control element is inserted into the guide mechanism.
- Choose the right frying temperature and check the conditions of the food to be fried. A rule of thumb is that pre-fried foods require a higher temperature than raw foods.
- Do not carry or move the deep fryer if the oil or grease is still hot.
- When frying dough-like foods, scrape off the excess dough and put the pieces carefully into the oil.
- Please ensure that the handle of the deep fat frying basket has been correctly attached.
- Press the ends of the wire together at the free end of the handle.
- Insert the brackets into wire hoops inside the basket.
- The deep fat frying basket must not be more than 2/3 full. Do not overfill the frying basket.
- Rub dry humid foods with a cloth before frying.
CAUTION:
In the case of foodstuffs which are too moist (e.g. frozen chips etc.) large amounts of foam may form, which under certain circumstances may cause the oil to overflow.
Use
- Make sure that the appliance is unplugged and switched off (the control lamps are off).
- Take the lid off the deep fryer.
- Remove the frying basket and fill the container with oil or grease (maximum 3 liters). The filling level must be between the minimum and maximum level.
- Insert the plug into a 230V, 50Hz power socket. The red control lamp lights up. Set the desired temperature by turning the temperature control (2).
- The green control lamp lights up. Once the set temperature has been reached, the green control lamp goes off. Place the frying basket containing the items to be fried carefully into the hot fat.
- The green control lamp switches on and off several times during frying. This is normal and indicates that the temperature is controlled by the thermostat and is being maintained. Once the frying time is over (the frying times are to be found on the packaging of the food or in the recipe), please take out the frying basket.
- Let the oil drip from the food being fried.
- In order to switch off the machine, please turn the temperature regulator to MIN and remove the plug from the socket. Wind the mains lead up in the form of a spiral in the cable compartment.
Cleaning

WARNING:
Always pull out the plug from the mains socket before cleaning and wait until the unit has cooled down.

CAUTION:
- Do not use any wire brush or other abrasive objects.
- Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
- Under no circumstances should the device be immersed in water for cleaning.
Wait until the deep fryer is completely cool before cleaning. Wait in any case for 1 to 2 hours after use before using again to avoid burns.
Deep frying fat container
- In order to change the oil, pull out the deep frying fat container and pour the oil out at the side.
- Clean the deep frying fat container, the lid and the housing with a damp cloth and household detergent if necessary. Please do not immerse in water.
- The deep frying basket can be cleaned in the usual way in soapy water.
Housing
Clean the housing after use with a slightly damp cloth.
Changing the Odour and Fat Vapour Filter
The filter in the lid can be replaced.
- Unlatch the filter from the inside of the lid by pressing in the catches.
- Remove the grille.
- Replace the filter
- Then reassemble the cover.

NOTE:
When these filters have been used up, it is possible to cut universal filters to size, e.g., from cooker hoods.
Troubleshooting
Device is not working
Troubleshooting:
- Check the mains connection.
- Check the position of the thermostat.
Other possible causes:
The device is fitted with a safety switch (4).
This prevents the heater being switched on accidentally.
Troubleshooting:
Check that the control element is correctly in place.
Overheating Protection
If you should accidentally switch on your deep fat fryer when there is no oil or fat in it, the overheating protection is automatically turned on. The appliance is no longer ready to be used. Unplug the deep fryer. Recommendations for use
Regularly check the products for oil or fat (for example, paper towels - fry). After several times of preparing food, the products may become saturated with oil or fat on the surface. Use the fryer for products only with high-quality oil or fat.
- The oil must have a high heating temperature. Please avoid using margarine, olive oil, or butter. These products are not suitable for preparing food in the fryer because they form foam at low heating temperatures.
- We recommend using oil specifically designed for frying for preparing food.
WARNING!

Please take into account this important recommendation if you want to use oil!
If you want to use oil, cut it into small pieces. Set the thermostat to a low temperature and add the pieces gradually and slowly. After the oil has melted completely, you can set the thermostat to the temperature required for the frying process.
Never put oil in the basket for products
3. For products containing starch (potatoes, grains), we recommend not exceeding the operating temperature of 170 °C (maximum 175 °C). It is recommended to speed up the process by keeping the products in the fryer for a maximum of 30 minutes or until golden brown. 4. Remember, the reservoir - switch (4) is activated when the control element is in the correct position. 5. Always set the temperature according to the type of product you are frying. The basic rule of frying: products that have already been fried in the fryer require a higher temperature than raw products. 6. If the oil or fat has not cooled down, it is forbidden to move or carry the fryer to another place. 7. When working with products from the dough, remove the dough residues and do not put them in the oil or fat carelessly. 8. Follow the instructions. The handle of the basket must be properly attached.
- Fold the cord from the large side of the handle together. Insert the cord hooks into the basket. The cord should be wound around the basket no more than 2/3 of the way. Do not overfill the basket!
- If products contain water, their surface should be dried before the cooking process to avoid splashing.

ATTENTION:
Products that contain a lot of water (for example, frozen potatoes) can create a lot of foam, which may cause liquid to spill out.
Usage
- Make sure that the appliance is plugged into the electrical outlet and turned off. (The control light should not be lit). 2. Remove the frying basket lid.
- Remove the basket with products and fill the capacity with oil or fat (maximum 3 liters). The oil level should be between the MIN and MAX markings.

4. Insert the plug into the socket, ensuring proper contact, and it must be 230V, 50Hz. The red control light will light up. Set the temperature regulator (2) to the desired temperature, turning it clockwise to the appropriate mark. 5. The green control light will light up. After reaching the required temperature level, the green control light will go out. The basket with products for frying should be carefully placed into the hot oil or fat. 6. The green control light will turn on and off during the cooking process. This indicates that the thermostat controls the temperature and maintains it at the proper level. Adjust the cooking time of the products (the required time is indicated on the product packaging or in the recipe) by removing the basket from the fryer. 7. Allow the oil to drain from the products. 8. After use, turn the temperature regulator to the MIN position and remove the plug from the electrical outlet. Wind the cable around the handle in the storage position.

Intended use
This device is intended for frying food in a deep fryer.
It is intended exclusively for this purpose and may only be used for this. It may only be used in the manner described in this instruction manual. You do not have the right to use the device in industrial settings.
Any other use is considered improper use and may cause material damage or even personal injury.
Never place the device in the fryer basket.
3. To avoid excessive browning of starchy foods (potatoes, cereals) when frying in the deep fryer, it is recommended to preheat the temperature to 170°C (approx. 175°C). Then it is recommended to reduce the frying time to a minimum and fry until a maximum golden color. 4. Please note that the safety switch (4) is pressed only when the control device is inserted into the socket. 5. Set the appropriate temperature, always considering the type of food. As a guideline, you can use the following rule: foods that have been pre-cooked or pre-fried in the deep fryer require higher temperatures compared to raw foods. 6. If the oil or fat is still hot, never move or tilt the fryer. 7. Before placing food in the oil, always remove excess batter from the food. 8. Make sure that the handle is firmly attached to the fryer basket.
Twist the ends of the wire together at the free end of the handle. Insert the wire loops inside the box. - The fryer basket is filled to a maximum of 2/3. Do not overfill the fryer basket.
9. Wet foods must be dried, patting them dry with a cloth.

Strong-smelling foods (for example, fish, cabbage) can cause strong odor formation, which in the worst case can lead to oil splashing.
Operating procedure
1. Make sure the appliance is disconnected from the mains and switched off (the control lamp is not lit). 2. Remove the lid from the fryer. 3. Take out the frying basket and fill the fryer tank with oil or fat (maximum 3 l). The oil level should be between the "Min" and "Max" marks.
4. Insert the plug into a grounded socket with a voltage of 230 V, 50 Hz. The red control lamp lights up. Turn the temperature regulator (2) to the required position. 5. The green indicator lamp lights up. As soon as the temperature is reached, it goes out. Carefully lower the frying basket with the products into the fryer. 6. The green control lamp switches on and off repeatedly during the operation of the fryer. This is a normal phenomenon and indicates that the temperature is controlled and maintained by the thermostat. After the frying time has elapsed (the frying time in the fryer is indicated on the product packaging or in the recipe), lift out the frying basket. 7. Let the fried product drain. 8. To switch off the fryer, turn the temperature regulator to the "Min" position and remove the plug from the socket. Place the lid on the fryer, making sure it is spiral-shaped.
