IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time.
Before you connect the kettle to the mains supply, make sure that the voltage indicated on the rating plate, located on the bottom of the jug kettle matches the mains voltage in your home. If it does not, contact your dealer and do not use the kettle.
The kettle will switch off automatically when the water has boiled. You may switch the kettle off before the boiling process if complete by using the on/off switch.
- To connect, always plug the cord into the wall outlet first then switch on. To disconnect, pull switch to "OFF" then remove plug from wall outlet.
After the kettle has switched off automatically (or has been switched of manually) it may need time to cool down. After 15-20secs, the kettle can be switched on again.
If the kettle ever boils dry, allow 15 minutes to cool before refilling with cold water.
The safety cutout will automatically reset during this time.
Place the kettle on a stable flat surface.
Ensure that the kettle is switched off before removing it from its stand.
- Never immerse the kettle or cord in water or any other liquid. Do no allow liquid to penetrate the electrical parts of this kettle.
Prevent children from pulling on the mains cord or knocking the kettle over.
Ensure that the mains lead does not overhang the worktop surface.
Before cleaning the kettle disconnect from the power supply and wait until it was cooled down.
Only use the cord supplied with this kettle. If a replacement is required, only approved components may be used.
The outside surface of the kettle may get hot during use, please take care when using the kettle.
Never fill in water more than the maximum acceptable water level.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
- Keep electrical appliance out of reach from Children or infirm persons. Do not let them use the appliance without supervision.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- You can use your coffee maker as a kettle also. In this case, when the water begins to boil switch off your appliance by pressing on/off switch since your unit would not be switched off automatically.
If you want to re-boil your water, wait for about 15-20 seconds before switching on your appliance.
Put sufficient quantity of cold water into your Turkish Coffee Maker, according to the number of cup of coffee (for 3-4 persons, max).
If you wish to prepare a medium-sugar coffee for 1 person, put 1 cup of water. I tablet of sugar. And I spoon of Turkish coffee powder by using the measuring spoon supplied with the appliance.
- Place the appliance onto the power base unit, and switch on the coffee maker by simply pressing on/off switch.
At this time mix your coffee for one or two times.
- When the coffee starts bloating out, turn off the appliance and pour a little coffee into the cups (for foam).
- Replace your appliance onto the power base unit and restart the coffee maker, then pour the coffee to the cup when the prepared coffee bloats out again.
You can prepare coffee in different measures according to your personal taste.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Before first use

Before first use, it is recommended to operate the kettle for 2 or 3 times following the instructions below, this will remove any dust or residues remaining from the manufacturing process.

Boiling Water

Take up the jug kettle from the base before filling.
- Remove the cover and fill the kettle with as much fresh, cold water as you desired, then close the cover. The water capacity must between the Max and Min level showed on the kettle.
Place the kettle on the Power Base, connect the kettle to the power supply, turn

on the Main Power Switch, the red lamp on the kettle body lights up, then turn on the Boiling Switch Control by switch the "Boiling Water" side down to boil the water. Once the water is boiling, the Boiling Switch will be automatically switched off, the red lamp turns out and the blue lamp turns on.

Note:

The Boiling Switch Control should be turned on when boiling water, otherwise the water can not reach 100^ .
- Do not open the cover while the water is boiling, wait a few seconds to let the hot vapour to escape, otherwise scalding may occur.
Kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.

Infusing Tea

• Add some tea leaf into the basket, put it into the Tea Pot. After the water is boiling, pour the boiling water into the Tea Pot then put it on the kettle. You must leave some water in the kettle to keep warm the Tea Pot.

Pour out tea and serve

When the tea is infused, remove the basket, pour out tea and serve.

Cleaning

First read the instructions in the section titled 'Importance'.
Always disconnect the kettle from electrical outlet before cleaning.
Before cleaning make sure the kettle and the Tea Pot is cold enough.
Clean the exterior surface of the kettle with a clean, damp cloth to preserve its original highly polished finish. Dry and polish with a soft cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleansers or scouring agents of any kind inside or on the exterior of the kettle.
- Do not immerse the kettle or power base in water or other liquid, and make sure the electrical kettle socket is kept dry.

Descaling

Half fill the kettle with tap water and add the juice of 1 lemon to the water.
■ Boil this mixture and allow it to stand for 15 minutes. Re-boil the mixture and allow it to stand a further 15 minutes. Re-boil this mixture a third time then rinse the kettle well.

DESCALING FOR COFFEE MAKER

To clean your kettle with a descending agent: Once you have boiled some water in the kettle, add the decaling agent and mix them. Boil for 2-3 minutes more, empty the kettle, and rinse the inside of it 2-3 times repeatedly.
