This product has delicate electronic components. This12 GB/IE/NI means that if it is placed near an object that transmits radio signals, it could cause interference. This could be, for example, mobile tele- phones, walkie talkies, CB radios, remote controls and microwaves. If the display indicates a problem, move such objects away from it. Electromagnetic interference / high-frequency emissions can lead to the product failing. In cases of the product failing to work, remove the battery for a short while and then replace it. Do this as described13 GB/IE/NI in the “Replacing the battery“ section. Check the product for dam- age before use. Never use a damaged product. The product is not intended to be in contact with food. Safety instructions for batteries / re- chargeable batteries DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries / rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. Leaked or damaged batter- ies / rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs. In the event of a leakage of batteries / rechargeable bat- teries, immediately remove them from the product to pre- vent damage. Remove batteries / recharge- able batteries if the product will not be used for a longer period.17 GB/IE/NI Risk of damage of the product Only use the specified type of battery / rechargeable battery! Insert batteries / rechargea- ble batteries according to polarity marks (+) and (-) on the battery / rechargeable battery and the product. Clean the contacts on the battery / rechargeable bat- tery and in the battery com- partment before inserting! Remove the insulating strip from the battery compartment

Replacing the battery Turn the product over and place it on a soft underlay to avoid scratching the surface. Loosen the screw located at the cover of the battery compartment

on the back of the product. Open the cover of the battery compart- ment

Remove the used battery, if present. Insert a battery (as specified in section “Technical data”) in the battery compart- ment

Note: Make sure you insert the battery with the correct polarity. This is indicated in the battery compartment

Close the cover of the battery compartment

and tighten the screw.19 GB/IE/NI Operation Note: The product is not intended to be in contact with food. Always use transparent container having a flat bottom surface with diameter not more than 12 cm so that the LC display

is not covered. A container is not included with the product. Weighing Set the product on a solid, lever and flat surface to weigh. Spread the product in a 90° angle (see fig. A). Place a container on the effective weigh- ing area

of the product. Press the button

to switch on the product. The LC display

will show all displays for approx. 3 seconds. During this time the weighing equipment on the product is calibrating. Afterwards the numerical display

will show zero reading. The unit display

will show the20 GB/IE/NI last unit previously selected. At the same time „0“ symbol

will appear. Note: if an object (e.g. a key) is already on the effective weighing area

will still show zero reading. Note: Zero reading means either 0 in g or 0:00.0 in lb:oz. Note: The „0“ symbol

is only dis- played when the product is switched on or when after taring the same weight bur- dens on the product as at switching on the product. Place the item you wish to weigh inside the container. The numerical display

will show the weight of the item you are weighing. Incremental weighing Press button

when same and other items being weighed inside the container. The numerical display

will change from the reading to zero reading. The „T“ symbol

will appear.21 GB/IE/NI Now add another item to weigh inside the container. The numerical display

will show the weight of the newly added item. If you remove the item added to the prod- uct, the numerical display

will again show zero reading. If you remove all items from the product, the LC display

will show a negative value indicated by the minus symbol

shows zero reading. Important! Be sure never to add more than 5 kg to the effective weighing area

Overloading the product can damage it. Changing the measuring unit The product will display the weight in the official European measuring unit „g“ (grams), as well as the traditional unit of weight „lb:oz” (pound: ounce, 1lb = 16 oz ≈ 453.59 g).22 GB/IE/NI To switch the unit of measure, holding the button

for approx. 3 seconds. Switching off Note: The product can only be turned off manually if the „0“ symbol

appears. To switch off the product, press the button

under no weighing (when numerical display

showing zero reading). If no weight is detected on the effective weighing area

for 2 minutes and no button

is pressed, the product will automatically switch off. Troubleshooting = Fault = Cause = Solution

= The product is overloaded. = Remove the overload.23 GB/IE/NI

= The batteries are too weak to weigh. You cannot operate the product. = Replace the battery (see section “Replacing the battery”). Cleaning and care Never immerse the product in water or other liquids. This can damage the product. Clean the product with a slightly damp- ened, fluff-free cloth. To remove more stubborn dirt, you can also dampen the cloth with a weak soap solution. To store, fold up the product. Disposal The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities. The Green Dot is not valid for Germany.24 GB/IE/NI
