USER MANUAL MK107297 Emerio
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
- Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shop, offices and other working environment; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments.
- Read these instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place.
- Only use the appliance as described in this manual.
- In case of damage caused by failure of not living up to this manual the warranty will decay immediately. The manufacturer/importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to not living up the manual, a negligent
use or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.
- Always remove the power cord and let it cool: before moving the unit; before the unit is stored; before you go mounting or dismantle parts; before cleaning or maintenance work; after use.
- Only have the appliance repaired by a qualified service centre.
- Qualified service center: after-sales service of the manufacturer/importer, which is qualified to carry out repair to avoid any kind of danger. In case of problems please return the appliance to this service.
Electricity and heat
- Before use, check that the mains power supply voltage is the same and the voltage is the same as the voltage indicated on the appliance.
- Always plug the appliance into an earthed plug socket.
- Regularly check the power cord for damage.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to manufacturer or the nearest authorized service agent for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
- To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do not pull the power cord.
- Make sure the power cord does not come into contact with hot surfaces or steam.
- Always remove the plug from the plug socket before you move the appliance.

The machine should not be operated by means of an external timer-switch or by means of a separate system with remote control.

If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10-ampere cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
- To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high voltage appliance on the same circuit.
- To protect against electric shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or housing in water or other liquid.
- Do not touch the appliance if it falls into water. Remove the plug from its socket, turn off the appliance and do not use it again.
- Do not use the appliance close to hot objects such as a stove or oven.
Using the appliance
- The use of accessory attachment not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Only use the appliance indoors, in dry areas away from water.
- Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids. There is danger to life duetoelectric shock!
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use the appliance outdoors or on wet surfaces.
- Place the appliance on a stable, level surface from which it cannot fall of.
- Use the appliance on a flat, dry and heat resistance surface, not on varnished furniture.
- Place the appliance at least 5cm of the wall or flammable objects (such as curtains, candles or towels).

Place the appliance on a stable, level surface and not close to hot objects or open flames (e.g. hotplates).

Disconnect the mains plug: after each time operating; if there is any interference with operation; before cleaning.
- Ensure that the mains cable is not hung over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and open flames.
- Do not use the appliance if the mains cable or plug show signs of damage, if the appliance has fallen on the floor or has other parts been damage. In such cases take the appliance to a specialist for checking and repair is necessary.
- Children are unable to recognize the hazards associated with incorrect handling of electrical appliances. Therefore, children should never use electric household appliances unsupervised.
- Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children.
- Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
German
- Remove all packaging from the appliance.
- Before using the appliance for the first time, wash detachable parts in warm soapy water before rinsing thoroughly.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquids.
USE
Open the lid; you will see two markings on the inner jug:

- Milk up to that maximum marking to make milk froth.

If you want to heat milk but not froth it, fill the milk up to that maximum marking.



Frothing milk:
- Place/slide the round (whisk) attachment for frothing milk into the holder on the shaft (the round whisk). See illustrations 1 and 2.
- Fill the jug with milk (take note of the maximum filling level 150ml ). For best results, use cold, full fat, long life milk.
- Fit the lid onto the jug.
- Switch on the appliance. The indicator lamp in the switch will be red.
After preparation, which takes 3 to 4 minutes, the appliance will switch itself off automatically. - Remove the lid and spoon the froth from the jug or pour the froth out with the hot milk.
Attention:
- The edge of the jug will be hot.
- Rinse the inside of the jug with water and dry it with a tea towel or kitchen paper before returning the jug to the base.
- The jug must never be replaced on the base without being cleaned.
Heating milk:
- Remove the spring ring when heating milk, the rotating inner piece of the whisk and the holder will be retained.
- Fill the jug with milk (take note of the maximum filling level of 250ml ).
- Fit the lid onto the jug.
- Switch on the appliance. The indicator lamp in the switch will be red. The quiet buzzing noise is normal.
After preparation, which takes 4 to 5 minutes, the appliance will switch itself off automatically. - Remove the lid and pour out the hot milk.
Attention:
- The edge of the jug will be hot.
- Rinse the inside of the jug with water and dry it with a tea towel or kitchen paper before returning the jug to the base.
- The jug must never be replaced on the base without being cleaned.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
Wipe the appearance of body with a mild and damp cloth or cleaner, never use a poisonous cleaner.
- Clean the lid, the whisk and the jug with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Rinse them in clean water and dry well.
- Do not immerse the appliance, the cord or its base in water or any other liquids. Do not wash any parts in a dishwasher.

Damage caused by not following the instruction manual, will lead to a void of warranty, if this results in consequential damages then we will not be liable. Neither can we hold responsible for material damage or personal injury caused by improper use if the instruction manual is not properly executed. Damage to accessories does not mean free replacement of the whole appliance. In such case please contact our service department. Broken glass or breakage of plastic parts is always subject to a charge. Defects to consumables or parts subjected to wearing, as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of said parts are not covered by the warranty and are to be paid.
