Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance, and always follow the safety and operating instructions.

Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance. Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.

☐ Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.
☐ Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage but have it checked and repaired by a competent qualified service (1). Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified service (2).

KALORIK TKG IKP 800 - FR - 1

The induction cooking plate will function only when a cooking utensil that is suitable for induction is standing on the plate! When no pot or pan has been put on the plate, the appliance will switch off immediately for safety reasons. Always test your pots and pans with a magnet beforehand – if the magnet sticks to the pot or pan, it is suitable.

GENERAL USE

  • Put usable cooking utensils in the middle of the plate and plug in the appliance.
    • As soon as the appliance is plugged in, the LED light indicator is on.
    • Turn the dial – up to the desired stage (1-5).

Example:

1. Boiling water

  • Put a pot filled with the desired amount of water in the middle of the cooking plate.
  • Put the plug into the electric socket, the LED lamps light up and a short sound signal indicates that the appliance is energized.
  • Now turn the dial. Another sound signal sounds and the control light for the power stage lights up.
  • The water will be brought to a quick boil. Then switch off the cooking plate (by turning the dial anticlockwise towards the off-position "AUS" – audible through a small click – and unplug the appliance).

Usable cooking utensils (magnetic):

Steel or cast iron, enamelled iron, stainless steel, flat pans/pots with a diameter of ca. 13 to 18cm.

Unusable cooking utensils:

Heat-resistant glass, ceramic moulds (casserole dish), copper, aluminium, pans/pots with a rounded bottom (not flat – e.g. a wok) or pans/pots with a diameter of less than 13 cm.

CLEANING

  • Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance to cool down.
  • Wipe the appliance only with a moistened cloth or sponge.
  • Do not clean with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this will damage the finish.
  • Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.

Overheating protection

The induction cooking plate is equipped with an overheating protection.

If your cooking plate overheats (empty pot or pan), a prolonged bleep will sound. After a few minutes the cooking function will switch off automatically.

Turn the dial towards the off-position „AUS“ and wait 1 to 3 minutes.

Then your induction cooking plate will be ready for use again.

If you take the pot or pan from the plate during use, a bleep will sound as well and the lamps will flash as a warning. Always switch off the appliance first before taking away the pot or pan.
