Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.

Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance.

Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.

Before use, check that your network mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.
☐ Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use or when plugged to the electric network.
☐ Regularly check the appliance for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage but have it checked and repaired by a competent qualified service ^[1] . Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified service (*)
☐ Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.
□ Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever.
☐ Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
☐ Unplug the appliance when not in use or when emptying the dust container or cleaning or replacing the filters.
☐ Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.
☐ Never use accessories which are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
☐ Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way, to prevent the appliance from falling. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
Before plugging in the cord, make sure the switch is set to the off position.
☐ This appliance is not a toy, it is not supposed to be sat on.
☐ Never use the appliance to vacuum matches, pointed objects, cigarettes, butts or other glowing things. Do not use it on wet surfaces or surfaces covered with cement or other substances that are too fine or even toxic when inhaled. Never vacuum any kind of liquid with this appliance, particularly flammable liquids.
☐ Do not try to repair the winding-on spool yourself. Make sure it is repaired by a competent qualified electrician (*).
☐ Do not block the vacuum passage. If this should happen by accident, unplug the appliance before unblocking it.
☐ Make sure not to point the vacuum cleaner at persons or animals, and especially stay clear of eyes and ears.
☐ If you use the appliance with a full dust container or saturated filters the appliance might get damaged. Make sure to check the good quality and placement of the dust container and/or filters.
☐ If your appliance no longer vacuums correctly or if the dust container is full, clean the filter and empty the dust container in order to prevent the appliance from overheating.

Using the appliance when not all the filters are installed properly and in good shape might damage the appliance. No guarantee claims will be accepted for damages due to that reason.

ASSEMBLING THE VACUUM CLEANER

• Always remove the plug from the power socket before fitting or removing accessories!
- Insert the hose connector into hose connection inlet until it locks. To remove the hose, press the sides of the hose connector and pull at the hose.
- When removing hose assembly, pull out hose connection wand with pushing down two connection buttons.

• Fit the tube to the handle.

• Fit the tube to the floor brush.

- You can adjust the length of tube.

- Removing tube and accessories: to remove the accessories, pull firmly apart.

• The floor brush is ideal for the daily cleaning of carpets and hard floors.

- The appliance is delivered with the following accessories:

✿ a crevice tool: for radiators, crevices, corners, baseboards and between cushions.
✿ an upholstery brush: for curtains, cushions, edges, doors, mattresses etc.

OPERATIONS

  • Pull out a sufficient length of power cord and insert the plug into the power socket. A yellow mark on the power cable shows the ideal cable length. Do not extend the cable beyond the red mark. Switch on the appliance by pressing the ON/OFF switch with your foot.
  • It is advisable to set the electronic power regulator to MIN before switching on the appliance. By turning the regulator button, the suction power can be adjusted. You can also adjust the suction power by using the wind-force adjuster on the handle. Use a low suction power for furniture and other delicate surfaces and use high suction power for fitted carpet and other floors.

AFTER USE

  • Stop the vacuum cleaner by pressing the ON/OFF switch.
  • Unplug the appliance from the power supply.
  • Simply press the cable rewind button to activate the cable rewind mechanism.

REPLACING THE DUST BAG AND CLEANING THE FILTERS

The filter system consists of: 1 motor filter (in front of the motor in the dust compartment)

1 air filter, to vacuum the smallest particles (on top of the motor in the dust compartment)

It is necessary to clean the filters regularly to avoid operating problems.

Paper dust bag

• The dust bag level indicator indicates when the dust bag should be replaced.
- The hose might get blocked by a larger object. In this case the dust bag level indicator will be red. However this does not mean that you have to replace the dust bag. Just remove

the object, which blocks your tube or flexible hose, and your appliance will function properly again. Do not forget to unplug the appliance before removing the blocking object. Replace the dust bag when the dust bag level indicator is completely red.

  • Disconnect the hose.
  • Open the dust compartment.
  • Remove the dust bag from its holder and throw it in the dustbin.
  • Put a new dust bag in its holder.
  • Close the dust compartment by slightly pressing on the front cover.
  • Connect the hose again.

Motor filter

To clean the motor filter (filter situated in front of the motor), switch off the appliance, open the dust compartment and remove the filter to wash it in soapsuds. (approximately every 3 months). When it is completely dry, put it back in the appliance.

Air Filter

  • This air filter (situated on top of the motor) guarantees fresh air during cleaning. It should be replaced approximately every 3 months (depending on the operation frequency)
  • Switch off the appliance, open the dust compartment, remove the filter and clean it in soapsuds. When it is dry, put it back and close back the dust compartment.

PRACTICAL HINTS

  • When cleaning stairs, we advise you to keep the unit in a vertical position.
  • The tube is equipped with a hook, allowing you to attach the tube either underneath the appliance for storing it, or to the rear part of the appliance when it is in use, for instance when you want to move piece of furniture.
  • The vacuum cleaner requires no other regular maintenance other than the filter cleaning and bag replacement tasks as detailed here above.
  • If you notice a loss of suction power, it is probably due to one or a combination of the following events: blocked filter, full or punctured bag or blockage in tubes. If your appliance still does not work properly after you have checked those problems, please ask a qualified electrician for advice.

In order to get new dust bags, please contact first of all the shop where you bought your vacuum cleaner, or, the customer service, the address of which is mentioned on your guarantee card.
