How to use the panini function?

Open the appliance fully. Butter the bread slices if desired. Place one slice on the bottom plate, add the filling, then the second slice buttered side up. Close the appliance. Let cook for 2 to 3 minutes according to your taste. Remove with a wooden or plastic spatula. Do not use metal utensils.

How to install the removable plates?

Press the release button located near the handle. Insert the fixing lugs into the notches. Press on the front of the plate until it clicks. To remove, press the release button again.

Why does the green light turn on and off regularly?

The green light indicates that the thermostat is regulating the temperature. It lights up when the appliance is heating and turns off when the desired temperature is reached. This cycle is normal and maintains consistent cooking.

How to clean the plates after use?

Wait for the appliance to cool down. You can leave the plates in place and wipe them with paper towels or a soft cloth. For deeper cleaning, remove the plates using the release button and wash them under running water. Dry them well. Do not put them in the dishwasher.

Can I put the plates in the dishwasher?

No, it is strictly forbidden to put the plates in the dishwasher. The non-stick coating could be damaged. Wash them by hand under running water.

What is the clasp lock for?

The clasp lock keeps the appliance closed during cooking. It ensures even pressure on the food, especially for paninis.

Why is there smoke during first use?

This phenomenon is normal and due to the non-stick coating heating for the first time. The smoke is not harmful and disappears quickly. Make sure to place the appliance in a ventilated area.

What spatula should I use to avoid damaging the coating?

Use a wooden spatula or heat-resistant plastic. Never use metal or sharp utensils that could scratch the non-stick coating.

Can the appliance be used by children?

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.

Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance. Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.

Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage but have it checked and repaired by a competent qualified service". USE

• Protective coating burn off will cause smoking on first use. This is NOT harmful. - When using for the first time, wipe the surface of the plates with a damp cloth, then dry. • To remove the baking plates, press the release buttons, and take out the baking plates. - Place the desired plates in the appliance by inserting the plate locking tabs in the plate locking openings and press on the plates till you hear a click. You may season the plates with butter, margarine or cooking fat. Since the appliance has a non-stick coated surface, the use of butter or oil is optional. - Close the appliance and let it heat. - Plug into the electrical outlet. The red power light and the green ready light will come on to indicate that the appliance is switched on and heating. - The green ready light will go out when the cooking temperature is reached. During use, this ready light will go on and out regularly. This simply means that the thermostat is regulating the appliance's temperature. - Attention: during the functioning, the baking plates heat up. Pay attention not to get burned.

!! TO AVOID BURNS, WAIT UNTIL THE APPLIANCE HAS TOTALLY COOLED DOWN BEFORE CHANGING THE PLATES.

Sandwich function

• Prepare your sandwich while the unit is heating. - Fully open the sandwich maker. Place a slice of bread in the bottom half with the buttered side against the plate. - Fill the sandwich. - Add the top slice with the buttered side up and carefully close the appliance. Do not force shut. Steam will be ejected from between the plates; make sure that fingers do not come into contact with it. - Lock the two halves with the wire clip while toasting. - Your sandwich will be toasted in 2 to 3 minutes or longer to suit your taste. Open the appliance and remove the sandwich using a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use a metal knife as this may damage the non-stick coating. - Close the lid to preserve the heat until you are ready to toast the next sandwiches. • Prepare additional sandwiches if desired while the others are cooking. - Unplug when finished.

Grill function

• Lightly brush grids with butter, margarine or cooking oil to avoid that the foods stick to the plates.
• When the appliance has reached the desired temperature, open it and put the foods in on the grill plate. Make sure the foods are not too thick, so that you can close the appliance. The cooking time depends on the type of food you are grilling. To avoid burning the foods, check regularly during the cooking process.
• When grilling is finished, unplug the appliance and leave it open to allow it to cool down.

CLEANING

• Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance and the plates to cool down. - Wipe the outside only with a slightly moistened cloth, ensuring that no moisture, oil, or grease enters the cooling slots. - To clean the plates, you can either leave them in the appliance or remove them (press the button near the handle and take them out, as shown in the picture). If you leave them in, wipe the plates with a damp cloth or towel. If you remove them, you can wash them under running water. Dry them afterwards. Never place the plates in the dishwasher. - Do not clean the inside or outside with abrasive scouring pads or steel wool, as this will damage the finish. - Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
