How to change the battery of the weather station?

Open the battery compartment located on the back of the device. Insert a new 1.5V type R03 (LR03C) battery, observing the polarity. Close the compartment. The battery is not included.

How to switch the temperature display from °C to °F?

Press the C/F button to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit display.

How to display indoor or outdoor temperature?

Use the IN/OUT button to switch between indoor and outdoor sensor temperature display.

How to activate the frost alarm?

Press and hold the FREEZE button for 3 seconds. An alarm will sound when the outdoor temperature is between -1°C and +4°C.

How to clear the recorded minimum and maximum values?

Press the CLEAR button to clear the stored data (min/max temperature and humidity).

What do the DRY, COMFORT and WET icons mean?

The DRY icon displays if humidity is below 40%. COMFORT appears between 40% and 70% humidity with a temperature of 20°C to 25°C. WET displays above 70% humidity.

What is the range of the outdoor sensor?

The wireless range is not specified in the manual, but for a wired station, the cable length is approximately 1.8 meters. Make sure the sensor is placed within cable reach.

What to do if the screen shows nothing?

First check that the battery is correctly inserted and not discharged. If the problem persists, remove the battery, wait a few seconds and reinsert it. Contact customer service if necessary.

Can I mount the weather station on the wall?

Yes, the device can be wall-mounted using the mounting system on the back. Use a suitable screw and ensure the wall can support the device weight (135 g).

How to clean the weather station?

Clean the device with a soft dry cloth. Do not use abrasive products or solvents. Protect the device from dust and shocks.

5. Batteries

1. Connect the outdoor sensor first.
2. Open the battery compartment and insert 1 x 1.5 V AAA battery respecting the polarity.
3. Close the battery compartment.

Warning

• Do not puncture or throw batteries in fire as they might explode.
• Keep batteries away from children and pets.
• Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations.

6. Operation

• Press C/F to switch between the °C and °F temperature unit.
• Press IN/OUT to switch between indoor and outdoor temperature display.
• Press MIN/MAX to switch between minimum and maximum value (humidity, indoor/outdoor temperature). Press CLEAR to clear the memory.
• Hold FREEZE pressed for 3 seconds to activate the freezing point alert. The meter will sound when the outdoor temperature is between -1°C and +4°C.
  • The meter will display a DRY icon when the humidity is less than 40 %.
• The meter will display a CONFORT icon when the humidity is between 40 % and 70 % with a temperature of +20°C\~+25°C.
• The meter will display a WET icon when the humidity is more than 70 %.

In order to ensure the quality, our products regularly go through an extra quality check, both by an internal quality department and by specialized external organisations. If, all precautionary measures notwithstanding, problems should occur, please make appeal to our warranty (see guarantee conditions).

General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU):

• All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.
• Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion.
  You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.

- Not covered by warranty:

• all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity...), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;
• consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, non-rechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts... (unlimited list);

- flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc....;

- flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer's instructions;

- damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);

- damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;

- all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.

- Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the

original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.

• Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.
  • Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.
• The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
