3. Power cord and plug

  • Place the appliance on a stable and flat surface, not too close to hot objects or naked flames (such as stovetops or hotplates).

  • Remove all packaging from the appliance.
  • Attach the wall holder to the wall (if desired).
  • Clean the appliance, see 'Cleaning and Maintenance'.
  • Continue with the procedure in ‘Using the appliance’.
  • Do not use the appliance continuously for longer than 1 minute. Do not use it continuously for longer than 15 seconds for thick mixtures. Allow the motor to cool down for a couple of minutes.
  • Use the appliance in short pulses. This gives a better result and will not damage the motor.
  • Use small quantities of food. The appliance has not been designed to be used with large quantities of food.
  • Do not use the appliance to mix boiling liquids. If you wish to mix hot liquids, first remove the pan from the heat source and allow the liquid to cool. This prevents burns due to splashing hot liquids.

  • Place the cutter on the shaft in the chopper bowl.
  • Divide the ingredients into small pieces and remove any hard parts such as pips or bones.

  • Place the lid on the chopper bowl and lock the lid by rotating it clockwise until it clicks into place in the bowl.
  • Attach the motor unit to the chopper by rotating the motor unit clockwise until it clicks into place.

  • Hold the appliance by the motor unit.
  • Press the On/Off button to turn on the appliance. Operate the appliance in short on/off pulses to prevent it from overheating.
  • After use, remove the plug from the wall socket.
  • Remove the motor unit from the chopper.
  • Remove the lid from the chopper.
  • Remove the cutter from the chopper bowl.
  • Clean the motor unit and the chopper (see ‘Cleaning and maintenance’). NOTE

  • Within the warranty period any defects in production or material will be resolved free of charge, by means of reparation, replacement of parts or replacement of the appliance as a whole.
  • The warranty certificate has to be filled in by the sales person at the moment of purchase.
  • Repairs will only be made under warranty in case it can proven (by means of a filled in warranty card and the receipt) that the day the complaint is filed falls into the warranty period.
  • The warranty does not apply when defects or damages result from an accident, misuse, negligence (e.g. incorrect cleansing), or when repairs of alterations have been executed outside the authorized TOMADO service centre (excl. disassembling, as stated in the instruction manual).
  • The warranty does not cover any defects arising when the appliance is connected to the wrong outlet voltage, not following the guidelines in the instruction manual and usual wear and tear.
  • The warranty does not cover any defects arising from the lack of frequent descaling of appliances, whatever type of water has been used (especially for steam irons, coffee machines and water boilers).
