• Remove all packaging material and check whether the appliance is complete.

• Fullyunwindthepowercord.

• Clean the detachable parts as described under Cleaning and Care.

• Placetheapplianceonanevenandheatresistantsurface and connect it to a properly installed wall socket.

• Beforemakingyourrstcoffee,rinsetheunitbyllingthe watertank (6)uptotheMax. markingand operateit 2-3 times without coffee. After that your coffee maker is ready for operation. Note: After each rinse cycle, the appliance has to be switched off for approx. 5 minutes, in order to cool down.

babies, therefore keep them away to avoid suffocation. Operation Brewing Coffee

1. Place the appliance on an even and heat resistant surface

and connect it to a properly installed wall socket. 2.Toopenthelid(7)ofthewatertankslideitsidewaysandll the water tank (6) with cold, fresh tap water. The markings on the water tank (6) indicate the required water level to brew the desired number of cups. Do notexceedtheMax. llinglevel(8cups).

3. Close the lid (7) of the water tank.

5. For each cup of coffee, use one leveled measuring spoon

of grounded coffee. For stronger or milder coffee, adjust the amount of coffee! 6.Closethelid(1)ofthelterholder(2)bypushingitbackinto its original position, make sure it’s properly locked in place.

7. Place the thermo jug (3) with its lid on into the appliance.

Makesurethatthelidisproperlyscrewedonandthatthe lever button of the lid is pointing towards the handle. 8.Makesurethat the thermo jug (3) is properlyplacedinto theapplianceandpresstheOn/Offbutton(5)toswitchon the appliance. The integrated indicator light indicates that the appliance is in operation. An integrated mechanism automatically opens the lid for the brewing through function. The brewing process can be interrupted at any time by pressingtheOn/Offbutton(5).Oncetheunitisswitchedon again, the appliance will continue with the brewing process. Note: If you wish to have a cup of coffee before the brewing cycle is completed, remove the thermo jug (3) from the appliance. Due to the automatic drip stop, dripping will automatically cease. Put the thermo jug (3) back within 30 seconds, dripping process will automatically resume.

9. After the brewing cycle is completed (no more water

is dripping through the lter), the thermo jug (3) can be removed. Attention: The appliance will automatically shut-off within 5 minutes and the indicator light will go OFF as well. Attention:-Despitetheautomaticshut-off,theappliance has to be switched off properly after each usage. -Before each brewing cycle, always make sure that the On/Off button is set to Off position.20 10.Toswitchofftheappliancebeforetheautomaticshut-off, presstheOn/Offbutton(5). Note: Never open the lid of the lter holder during operation–hotwatercouldspill–Danger of serious burns! If you wish to prepare more than one pot of coffee, the appliance has to be switched off for approx. 5 minutes, in order to cool down. Always disconnect the appliance from the mains if you are not using it! Thermo jug / brewing through lid The thermo jug (3) accumulates heat energy. Therefore, the jug shouldpreferablybelledtoitsmax.capacity. Tip: Before starting the brewing process, rinse your thermo jug (3) with hot tap water. To obtain tasteful coffee, brew at least half a jug otherwise the temperature will not be held as efciently. The brewing through lid does not close hermetically. Therefore, alwaysholdthethermojug(3)uprightwhenlledwithcoffee. When serving coffee, simply press down and hold the lever button of the lid and the coffee will be pouring out from the spout. Removing / Fastening the brewing through lid To fasten the lid, insert it into the thermo jug and turn it clockwise untilitisxed.Theleverbuttonofthelidshouldpointtowards the handle of the jug. Cleaning and Care Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains. Let it completely cool down. Never immerse the appliance in water. Danger! Electric Shock! Clean the body of the appliance with a moistened soft cloth. Do notuseanyaggressivecleaningagentsand/orotherhard objects to clean the appliance. The thermo jug (3) and lid are not dishwasher safe, rinse it with some tap water and dry it afterwards. All detachable parts can be cleaned in warm water using some dishwashing detergent, rinse them afterwards and dry them thoroughly. DESCALING Dependingonthewater qualityand usage,calcication can occur.Therefore,tokeepyourcoffeemakeroperatingefciently, you should descale it on a regular basis. Never use any sharp, pointed or metal objects to remove limescale built up in the appliance. To remove limescale, use a common gentle descaler, which is suitable for your appliance. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. After descaling, always rinse your appliance as described under before first use. Note: Descaler mixtures should not be poured down enamel coated sinks.22 Storage Disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it completely cool down. Keep the appliance away from children and store it in a clean and dry place. Disposal Instructions Waste electrical devices marked with this sign must not be disposed of with your household waste, but are to be collected separately.
