General Safety Instructions

Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

  • The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors (except if it is designed to be used outdoors). Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
  • When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
  • Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you should leave the workplace, always switch the machine off or remove the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead).

Special Safety Instructions for this Machine

  1. The machine should only be used under supervision!
  2. Do not manipulate any of the safety switches!
  3. Before removing any covers or accessories, switch the device off and wait until the motor has stopped.
  4. Please take care when handling the centrifuge sieve. It is very sharp!
  5. The machine may only be switched on when the stopper rod is inserted.
  6. Do not carry or lift the appliance during use. Always switch it off first and pull out the plug. Carry the appliance always with both hands!
  7. Clean the appliance only as described in „Cleaning“.

Operation

  1. Place the machine on a smooth, fl at and stable working surface. Please place the centrifuge housing on the motor block in such a way that the spout lies fl ush in the recess. Place the centrifugal screen (3) in the centrifuge housing (4).
  2. Place the cover in position and lock the safety catch. The locking devices must engage in the recesses of the cover.

i NOTE:

Your device is fitted with a safety switch (10). This prevents the motor from starting accidentally. Check that the centrifuge filter and cover are correctly positioned.

  1. Hook the pulp container (9) under the cover (2) such that it is flush.
  2. Please ensure that the multiple contact switch is set to „O“.
  3. Connect the machine to a properly installed power socket, 230 V, 50 Hz.
  4. Place a suitable vessel under the spout (11) of the centrifuge housing.

i NOTE:

If necessary peel, stone and cut the fruits from which the juice is to be extracted into strips or pieces. Please note that this device is not suitable for removing the juice from bananas, peaches, apricots etc, as these fruits contain only very little juice. Fruits which are very hard, such as coconuts, cannot be placed in this machine as the centrifuge sieve or the motor may be damaged.

  1. Push the fruits into the filling aperture and insert the stopper.

WARNING:

Never press the food with your hands into the filling aperture. Always use the tamper supplied.

  1. Switch on the device. Press the fruits lightly with the stopper.
  2. There are 2 speeds available.
  3. For removing the juice at an even speed (continuous operation):

During operation on levels 1 and 2 the switch locks in the respective position.

Level 1 = low speed

Level 2 = high speed

In order to switch off the device, turn the switch back to „O“.

CAUTION:

Do not use the device for longer than 3 minutes without interruption!

  1. The juice now flows into the vessel. The flesh of the fruit is collected in the pomace container.

CAUTION:

In order to avoid malfunctions please do not overfi ll the juice container. Empty the pulp container regularly and do not allow the fi lled container to stand for too long in order to avoid unpleasant odours.

  1. In order to remove the cover, please release the safety catch (7).

Cleaning and storage

  • Before cleaning remove the mains lead from the socket.
  • Never immerse the housing with motor in water!
  • Do not use any sharp or abrasive detergents.

Motor Housing

Only a damp rinsing cloth should be used to clean the outside of the housing.

Tamper, cover, centrifuge filter, centrifuge housing, pulp container, juice container

CAUTION:

The plastic components are not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher. When subjected to heat and caustic detergents they might become deformed or discoloured.

  • Removable parts that have come into contact with food can be rinsed by hand.
  • Please use a rinsing brush to clean the centrifuge filter.

WARNING:

the centrifuge sieve is very sharp! Danger of injury!

- Allow the parts to dry thoroughly before reassembling the device.

Troubleshooting

• Device is not working

Remedy:

Check the mains connection.

Check the position of the switch.

Other possible causes:

The device is fitted with a safety switch (10).

This prevents the motor from starting up unintentionally.

Remedy:

Check that the centrifuge filter and cover are correctly positioned.

Defects to consumables or parts subject to wearing as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of said parts are not covered by the guarantee and hence are to be paid!
