How to assemble the Alpina SF5014 fan?

The fan comes pre-assembled. Simply unpack and plug in. If the base is separate, attach it to the central tube according to the instructions in the manual.

How to adjust the fan speed?

Turn the control knob to position 1 (low), 2 (medium), or 3 (high). To turn off, return to 0.

How to use the timer?

Turn the timer knob clockwise up to 120 minutes maximum. The fan will automatically turn off at the end of the set time. You can turn it off manually by turning the knob counterclockwise to the Off position.

How to make the fan oscillate?

The front grille rotates automatically when the fan is running. For a fixed direction, turn the control knob to Off, then manually orient the grille to the desired angle.

What to do if the fan does not turn on?

Before first using your new Floor Fan, it is most important that you read and follow the instructions in this booklet, even if you feel you are familiar with this type of appliance. Your attention is drawn particularly to the section dealing with IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS. Find a safe and convenient place to keep this booklet handy for future reference.

This appliance has been designed to operate from a standard domestic power outlet. It is not intended for industrial or commercial use.

Your Floor Fan is safe and easy to use. It has been designed to function quietly and safely under normal circumstance. Your Floor Fan is fully portable with a sturdy stand and contemporary design. Its energy efficient blades circulate cool air while using less power than a standard light globe. The heavy – duty motor is rated for continuous use to combat long hot summers.

2. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

• Read all instructions.
• Disconnect the power plug before dismantling, assembling or before cleaning.
• Avoid touching mobile parts of the fan.
• Make sure the fan is on a dry and even surface.
• Never insert fingers, pencils or any other objects though the guards whenever the -power plug is connected, especially while running.

4. OPERATION

Remove the packaging materials and unravel the cord set before operation.

Rotating Louvre Grille

The rotating front grille on this product has louvres set at different angles to maximize air distribution. By switching the louvre control to On, the grille will continually rotate, swirling a breeze in all directions. For more personal cooling, switch the control back to Off and rotate the grille to the required angle. If obstructed, a unique safety ratchet, incorporated into the grille will prevent damage. The ratchet mechanism senses resistance and reverses grille rotation in an attempt to free up the obstruction.

Speed Fan

The 3 speed control switch allows you to choose a gentle breeze or full room air circulation. Turn the control to 1 for a low speed setting and 3 for a high speed. To switch Off, return the dial to 0. The left-hand speed settings rotate the louvred grille in the opposite direction to those on the right-hand side.

Set and Forget Timer

You can preset the Box Fan for up to 120 minutes by turning the timer control in a clockwise direction. The unit is switched Off at the end of the set time period. The unit can be switched Off manually at any time by turning the timer dial anticlockwise and returning it to the Off position.

5. CARE AND CLEANING

Always disconnect electrical appliances before cleaning them.

To clean the blade and grille assembly, first remove the safety grille, unscrew the locknut and remove the blade from the Floor Fan. Wipe them clean with a slightly damp sponge.

Clean the motor housing and body assembly with a clean, damp cloth and wipe dry.

Never spray with liquids or submerge the Floor Fan in water or any other liquid.

GUARANTEE

This product is guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts found to be defective, providing the product is brought back to the purchase address. This guarantee is only valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with the instructions, and provided that it has not been modified, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse.

This guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as ceramic items, bulbs etc. If the product fails to operate and needs to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing your name and address and the reason for return and bring it to the address of purchase.
