TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS

  • Always pre-heat for at least 5 minutes before use. Plug cord into power supply whilst preparing the fillings.
  • For soft or liquid filling type sandwiches use medium sliced bread - white or brown. Flavored butters may be used for toasted sandwiches - for added flavor.
  • Use boneless meat and poultry to achieve even browning.
  • Food which is to be contact-grilled should be uniformly thick to ensure even browning.
  • Thawed and marinated meat should be dried before being placed on the griller.
  • When grilling chicken with skin, place skin side down for best results. Then brown on both sides.
  • Brush sides of cut vegetables with oil or margarine. (Brushing the grill produces non-even browning of vegetables.)
  • Marinate meat at least 1 hour in the refrigerator before grilling for extra flavor and tenderness.
  • Try to use meat that is cut in 3/4 to 1 inch in thickness. (Meat that is that is 1/2 inch thick or less might not come into contact with the upper grilling plate. In addition if grilling beef that is too thick the food might dry out if used without marinade or grilling for too long.
