- Before using the appliance, make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label.
- This appliance is intended for domestic use only and not for commercial applications. No responsibility is accepted if damage results from improper use, or if the instructions are not complied with.
- Please keep these instructions for future reference. If the appliance is passed to another person, this instruction manual should accompany it.
- Do not expose the appliance to water and do not immerse it in water. Should the appliance nevertheless become wet, we recommend having it checked by our customer service department before it is used again.
- In order to comply with safety regulations and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical appliances must be carried out by qualified personnel, including the replacement of the power cord. If repairs are needed, please bring the appliance to your dealer.14 Do not operate the appliance if:
1. the vacuum cleaner, the charging unit, plug or cable show any signs of damage. Check the cable regularly.
2. the appliance has been dropped.
- When removing the adapter from the wall socket, never pull on the power cord.
- Children do not recognise the dangers that may occur when operating electrical appliances. Therefore keep children away from such appliances.
- Do not attempt to remove any parts of the housing nor insert any metal objects into the interior of the appliance.
- To prevent damage to the power cord, do not let it pass over sharp corners or edges.
- Do not allow the power cord or the appliance to touch hot surfaces and do not position it near open flames.
- Do not attempt to charge any other appliance with the supplied adapter.
- Do not operate the appliance without the filter (7).
- Do not obstruct the ventilation slots (6) during operation.
- WARNING: To prevent damage to the appliance, never use it to pick up hot or burning material, or sharp or pointed objects (egg needles, nails).
- Always remove the vacuum cleaner from its stand (9) before use.
- The stand (9) is designed for storing and charging the appliance at the same time.
- Make sure the stand is placed near a power outlet. CHARGING
- The unit can be charged, by placing it into the stand (9). Do not attempt to charge any other appliance with the stand.
- Connect the adapter (10) to a suitable outlet.
- Before using the vacuum cleaner for the first time, the battery must be charged for a minimum period of 14 hours.
- Switch the appliance off. Insert the cleaner into the stand. Make sure the charging pin (11) is properly inserted into its socket (5). During storing the indicator lamp will be on. The lamp will remain on, as long as the cleaner stays correctly in the stand. OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS15
- Charge the unit as described in the section 'Charging'.
- Remove the vacuum cleaner from its base stand by lifting it vertically. For operation, set the On/Off switch (2) to the position EIN/ON. Hold the vacuum cleaner with the nozzle facing downwards.
- Once the suction power begins to reduce, place the unit in the base stand for recharging.
TO EMPTY THE DUST CONTAINER
- The dust filter (7) must be cleaned after each use.
- Press the locking switch (1) and remove the front part of the vacuum cleaner. Remove the dust filter carefully and clean it. Empty the front part of the appliance.
- Replace the dust filter in the unit.
- Join the two parts of the cleaner together again. Once the lower part is inserted, the upper part will lock into place easily.
- Always remove the appliance from the base stand before cleaning, and make sure it has been allowed to cool down completely after use.
- The housing of the appliance may be wiped with a damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning solutions.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the charging unit with water and never immerse the appliance in water. Disposal batteries The disposal of batteries in view of the separation of litter should be done as follows. Open the lid in the housing of the rechargeable vacuum cleaner. You can remove take the batteries from the appliance and disconnect the 2 cables. The batteries can now be delivered to the nearest collecting station for used batteries.
