General safety instructions

Before commissioning this device please read the instruction manual carefully.

➢ Please keep these instructions, line guaranty certificate, the sales receipt and, if possible, the carton with the inner packaging!
The device is intended exclusively for private and not for commercial use! Always remove the plug from the socket whenever the device is not in use, when attaching accessory parts, cleaning the device or whenever a disturbance occurs.
Switch off the device beforehand. Pull on the plug, not on the cable. In order to protect children from the dangers of electrical appliances, never leave them unsupervised with the device. Consequently, when selecting the location for your device, do so in such a way that children do not have access to the device.
➢ Take care to ensure that the cable does not hang down. Test the device and the cable regularly for damage. It there is damage of any kind, the device should not be used. Do not repair the device yourself, but rather consult an authorised expert.
For safety reasons a broken or damaged mains lead may only be replaced by an equivalent lead from the manufacturer, our customer service department or a similar qualified person.
Keep the device and the cable away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture, sharp edges and suchlike. Never use the device unsupervised! Switch off the device whenever you are not using it, even if this is only for a moment.
▶ Use only original accessories.
Do not use the device outdoors.
Under no circumstances must the device be placed in water or other liquid, or come into contact with such. Do not use the device with wet or moist hands.
➢ Should the device become moist or wet, remove the mains plug from the socket immediately. Do not reach into the water. Use the device only for the intended purpose.

Special safety notes

Never vacuum up anything that is damp, or any liquids! Never vacuum up hot ashes, or pointed or sharp objects. Do not use the unit in damp areas.

Never do any vacuuming without the filter. Always check that the lifter has been correctly seated after inserting a new one. Keep hair, clothing and body parts away from the vacuum nozzle during use. Keep the vacuum away from heat sources such as radiators, ovens and so on. The vacuum cleaner is not fit for the cleaning of photocopiers and laser printers! Do not vacuum the toner.

Start-up

Push the vacuum hose into the opening of the dust compartment until it clicks in mechanically.

In order to remove the hose again, press the two clamps inwards while pulling at the same time.

Put the suction tube or other accessory onto the handle.

Using the unit

  1. Install the accessory.
  2. Unwind the necessary amount of cable, put the mains plug into a 230 V 50 Hz mains socket and switch the unit on.
  3. Push the round on/off button and with the same button set the vacuum strength with the suction strength controller.
  4. Start vacuuming at a constant speed. It is not necessary to press. Check that you have not come to the end of the cable.

Suction control (click-stop settings):

Low suction strength: for curtains and delicate materials

Medium suction strength: for deep-file velvet carpets and delicate carpeting

High suction strength: for ordinary carpets and floors.

Winding device for the power cable:

Unwinding: Pull out the length that you require. A marking shows the maximum length on the cable. Do not pull any further! The winding device could be damaged otherwise.

Winding in: Hold the cable firmly to prevent it from whipping around. Press the carrying handle for cable winding and guide the cable in.

Nozzle sets:

Narrow nozzle: for vacuuming in corners and grooves, and for the cleaning of shelves, furniture, lampshades, etc.

- Floor nozzle: to clean carpets or flat surfaces

The floor nozzle is adjustable for the current use.

Carpet: press down with your foot on the lever with the symbol for rough surfaces.

Smooth floor: press down the other lever. The levers change over.

Undoing the units: pull them apart while twisting slightly.

Emptying of the dust compartment:

Remove the plug from the socket. Open the dust compartment. Take off the dust compartment. Clean the compartment over a dustbin: Careful: do not throw away the filter!

Also clean the filter. Replace the filter ias you found it. Make sure that it is into place.

Replace the compartment till it snaps into its place.

Air outlet filters:

From time to time you should check the outletfilters on both sides.Lift up high the covers on the sides; clean the filter and replace it. To close, press the cover until it snaps into place.

* Roll up the cable completely.
* Position the appliance vertically and insert the hooks of the vacuum tube in the opposite bracket.

Proof for the warranty is provided by the purchase document. The replacement and repair will not be performed free of charge without this proof of purchase.

Should the warranty be valid, please consign the complete appliance in its original packing together with the cash receipt to your local dealer.

You are not entitled to the replacement of the appliance owing to broken glass parts and faulty accessories. However, said parts will be replaced free of charge. In this case only the faulty accessory needs to be ordered without sending back the whole appliance!

The cleaning, servicing and replacement of wear parts are not covered by this warranty and hence are to be paid for.

The warranty is terminated in case of handling on the part of third parties.
