Original operating instructions
The equipment is designed exclusively for use as an additional heater in dry, closed rooms. It is designed to be operated only when placed on the fl oor. The equipment is to be used only for its prescri- bed purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse. The user / operator and not the manufacturer will be liable for any damage or inju- ries of any kind caused as a result of this. Please note that our equipment has not been de- signed for use in commercial, trade or industrial applications. Our warranty will be voided if the machine is used in commercial, trade or industrial businesses or for equivalent purposes.
5. Before starting the equipment
Before you connect the equipment to the mains supply make sure that the data on the rating plate are identical to the mains data. Warning! Always pull the power plug before making adjustments to the equipment.
2. Place the cover plate (Fig. 2 / Item C) on the
base (Fig. 2 / Item D), insert the threaded section of the heater through the cover plate and base and tighten the fastening nut by hand (Fig. 3) – do not use any tools!
Note: All modes and functions can be set using the buttons on the appliance as well as with the remote control. The remote control requires a CR 2025 button cell (included in the remote control). Pull the contact protection (small plastic plates) out of the housing before use.
Never use a battery type other than the speci- fied one.
If the remote control is not used for a lengthy period of time, remove the battery to prevent it leaking.
Point the remote control towards the heater. The range is max. 5 meters.
Direct sunlight and objects can considerably reduce the range of the remote control.

The equipment can be used indoors in a free standing position. Keep a minimum distance of 1 m between the housing and walls, combustible materials (furniture, curtains, etc.). The equipment may only be used completely mounted and stan- ding vertically on a stable surface. It is prohibited to operate the equipment on an instable surface (e.g. on a bed). Read the safety regulations in section 1. Check the correct air throughput by holding a sheet of paper a distance of 10 cm in front of the air outlet grille in air circulation mode (without heating). The paper must be blown away from the air outlet grille. When the equipment is used for the fi rst time or after a long period of rest it may emit an odor for a short time. This is not a fault.
6.1 Switching the mains voltage on/off (Fig.
The main switch (10) disconnects the equipment completely from the mains power supply. The fi rst step when you want to use the equipment is to turn on (“I”) the main switch; the last step when you no longer need the equipment is to turn off (“0”) the main switch. When you turn on the main switch, an acoustic signal sounds by way of con- fi rmation and the status panel (3) lights up.
6.2 Switching the equipment on/off (Fig. 5)
and blows out air without heat output. To switch off , press the “ON/OFF” button again. The fan continues to run for a while after the equipment has been switched off .
6.3 Setting the heat outputs (Fig. 5)
With the heater switched on, press the “Mode” button (K). The equipment will heat with 1200 W. If you press the “Mode” button again, the equipment will heat with 2000 W. The display will show either “1200” or “2000” depending on the heat output setting. Press the “Mode” button again and the fan will continue running without any heat output.
6.4 Setting the operating times (Fig. 5)
With the equipment switched on, press the „Ti- mer“ button (L). Each time you press this button the set operating time increases by 0.5 h within a time frame of 0.5 - 7.5 h. The set time will appear in the display in combinations of 0:30, 1:00, 2:00 and 4:00 (e.g. for 4.5 h, the combination is 4:00 + 0:30).
6.5 Switching the oscillation function on/off
(Fig. 5) Press the “Swing” pushbutton (M). The equipment will swivel approx. 35° to the left and 35° to the right. To switch off the “Oscillation” function and have the equipment blow in one specifi c direction only, press the “Swing” pushbutton again.
This will trip as soon as the equipment is tipped beyond a certain angle. You can continue using the equipment as described above after you have returned to its upright position. The integrated topple cut-out makes a noise that can be heard if the equipment tilts. This is not a fault.
6.7 Overheating guard
In case of excessive heating, the heat output or the equipment will shut down automatically. In this case switch off the equipment completely and un- plug it from the mains power. Allow the appliance to cool for about 15 minutes. After eliminating the cause (e.g. a covered air grille), the equipment can be switched on again as described above. If the overheating guard triggers repeatedly or the equipment cannot be switched on, please contact your customer services workshop.
7. Replacing the power cable

Remove dust with a vacuum cleaner.
Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these could at- tack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensu- re that no water can seep into the device. The ingress of water into an electric tool increases the risk of an electric shock.
There are no parts inside the equipment which require additional maintenance.

The old equipment can be returned to a suitable collection point that will dispose of the equipment in accordance with the national recycling and waste disposal regulations. This does not apply to any ac- cessories or aids without electrical components supplied with the old equipment. The reprinting or reproduction by any other means, in whole or in part, of documentation and papers accompanying products is permitted only with the express consent of the iSC GmbH.
