15DO420K POWER CORD The appliance has a short power cord to prevent tripping or entaglement.

Be very carefull when using an extention cord.

When using an extention cord, think of the following :

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE First use :

Let clean water run through the coffee maker twice.

Open the lid of the water tank.

Fill the thermos with the necessary amount of water and pour it into the water tank.

Never use warm water.

Place a paper lter in the lter holder.

Fill the paper lter with the desired amount of coffee.

Place the thermos with the lid on the plate of the appliance.

Select the desired coffee strenght by turning the knob on the lid.

Turn on the coffee maker. The indication light will light up.

When the coffee is nished the appliance will turn of automatically and the light will

go out. You can take off the thermos. If you want to take coffee when the water is still

running, the drip stop will prevent coffee dripping on the plate.

ATTENTION : THE DRIP STOP ONLY FUNCTIONS WHEN THE LID IS ON THE THERMOS.

ATTENTION : LET THE APPLIANCE COOL DOWN FOR 5 MIN. BETWEEN EVERY TIME YOU MAKE COFFEE.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING Remove the plug from the socket before cleaning.

The lter holder can be removed for cleaning.

Clean the outside of the appliance regularly with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly

The hot plate needs to be cold before cleaning.

Never immerse the appliance in water.

Never use a cloth for cleaning the water tank. Little pieces of fabric could be left in the

water tank. Rinse the water reservoir regularly with cold water.

16DO420K DESCALING Descale your coffee maker regularly. At normal use ( 2 full carafes a day) we

recommend the following rules :

Water hardness upto 18°dh : 2 to 3 times a year.

Water hardness above 18°dh : 4 to 5 times a year.

The water distribution in your area, can provide you the necessary info concerning

your water hardness.

For descalling the appliance you should ll the coffee maker with vinegar and let it

run through twice. Afterwards, let the coffee maker work twice with clean water, to

remove the vinegar taste and all scale residue.

Clean the thermos, the lid and the lter holder.
