413KT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Read the following safety tips carefully before using this electrical appliance. This
way you’ll reduce the risk of fi re, electrocution or injuries.

Never immerse the appliance, the plug or the electrical cord in water or any other

ATTENTION : Never open the the bottom of the appliance, repairs need to be done by

POWER CORD The appliance has a short power cord to prevent tripping or entaglement.
Be very carefull when using an extention cord.
When using an extention cord, think of the following :

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE First use :
Let clean water run through the coffee maker twice.
Open the lid of the water tank.
Fill the carafe with the necessary amount of water en pour it into the water tank. Never

ATTENTION : let the appliance cool down for 5 min. between every time you make
PROGRAMMING YOUR APPLIANCE The timer makes it possible to program your coffee maker, so it will automatically
switch on at the desired hour.
SETTING THE CURRENT TIME Place the plug in the socket. The display will show “12.00”.
For setting the current time, press the “HOUR” button for setting the hours, press the
“MIN” button for setting the minutes. On the display will show “AM” or “PM” to
indicate the morning or afternoon.
413KT PROGRAMMING Fill the appliance with water and coffee.
Press the “PROGRAM” button, until the word “program” start fl ashing on the display.
Set the hour and minutes. After setting the desired hour, it will fl ash for a few more
seconds, before returning to the current time. The programmed time is now set.
Press the “AUTO” button, the indicator light will light up and on the display the word
“auto” is shown. The coffee maker is now programmed and will start automatically.
When there are current fl uctuations, it is possible that the timer doesn’t function
properly and that you need to set the program time again.
When you want to reuse the previous set program time, simple press the “AUTO”
button, your coffee maker is again set to start working on the pervious programmed
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING Remove the plug from the socket before cleaning.
The fi lter holder can be removed for cleaning.
Clean the outside of the appliance regularly with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly

The hot plate needs to be cold before cleaning.
Never immerse the appliance in water.
Never use a cloth for cleaning the water tank. Little please of fabric could be left in the
water tank. Rinse the water reservoir regularly with cold water.
DESCALING Descale your coffee maker regularly. At normal use ( 2 full carafes a day) we
recommend the following rules :
Water hardness upto 18°dh : 2 to 3 times a year.
Water hardness above 18°dh : 4 to 5 times a year.
The water distribution in your area, can provide you the necessary info concerning
your water hardness.
For descalling the appliance you should fi ll the coffee maker with vinegar and let it
run through twice. Afterwards, let the coffee maker work twice with clean water, to
remove the vinegar taste and all scale residue.
Clean the carafe, the lid and the fi lter holder.
