☐ Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.

☐ Only use the appliance in the way indicated in this instruction manual. Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions. Only use this appliance for cooking purposes.

☐ Should you hand over the appliance to another user, make sure to hand over the instruction manual together with the appliance.

☐ Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the rating plate of the appliance.

☐ Never leave your appliance unsupervised when in use.

☐ People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance without supervision or instructions of a responsible person.

☐ Close supervision is necessary if children are near the appliance in order to avoid that they use it as a toy.

From time to time check the appliance and its cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage. In that case, all repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician(*). Never use the appliance if it shows visible damage.

☐ Never immerse the motor block of your appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place the appliance into the dishwasher.

☐ Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.

□ Always unplug the appliance when it is not in use.

☐ Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.

☐ Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.

☐ Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.

☐ The pouring jug should be mounted correctly on the motor block before you plug the appliance into the mains. ⚠AUTION! The appliance is equipped with a safety system, which prevents the appliance from working if the jug is badly mounted. If the blender still does not work, please contact the customer service.

This kind of appliance cannot function continuously, it is not a professional type of appliance. It is necessary to make temporary stops. Check the section « Important information » in this instruction manual.

□ Always unplug the appliance before cleaning, assembling or disassembling it. The accessories have to be disassembled before cleaning. Caution, the blades of the blender are very sharp, always pay attention not to get cut when manipulating them.

- Keep your hands outside the appliance when under tension or in use. ⚠ Danger of injury! It is recommended not to plug in the appliance before the lid of the feeding jug is placed. We advise you to wait until the lid is closed before switching on the appliance.

□ Always close the jug with the lid before starting to mix. When mixing hot liquid, you have to be very careful in order to avoid splashing of hot liquid, otherwise you can get burned.

☐ The appliance is designed for the preparation of small quantities of food, which have to be consumed rather quickly. It is not designed for the preparation of large quantities at once.

(1) Competent qualified electrician: after-sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In case of need you should return the appliance to this electrician.

UK STYLE PLUG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS (IN THE UK ONLY)

This product must only be used from a 13 amp power socket. If a BS1363 approved 13 amp plug is used, it should be fitted with a 13 amp fuse. The wires on the power cord are colour coded:

blue = neutral, brown = live, green or green & yellow = earth.

The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured in black.

The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured in red.

The green (& yellow) wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured in green (& yellow).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

For best results with your appliance, please follow the "10 seconds use, 3 seconds break" rule. This appliance is not intended for professional use. The appliance is made for a short use of 60 seconds. After that, please switch off your appliance for a couple of seconds.

MOUNTING OF THE BLENDER AND USE

  • Assemble the pouring jug (4) on the motor block (5) and turn it anti-clockwise till it clicks in order to unlock the safety switch.
  • Fill the pouring jug with the chosen ingredients. For larger quantities, it is recommended to add the food gradually (maximum capacity 500 ml).
  • In case of very hot ingredients, fill the jug to the half. Do not fill ingredients of more than 80°C.
  • Before mixing, please cut the large ingredients into small pieces.
    • Put the lid (3) on the pouring jug and make sure it is blocked correctly.
  • Put the plug in the power socket and switch on the appliance with the switch (1) as described in the paragraph "Important Information".
  • Do not remove the jug from the motor block before the blade (2) is totally still. Otherwise you might hurt yourself!

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Always unplug from outlet before cleaning the appliance.
- For cleaning the pouring jug, remove it from the motor block. Clean the jug, the blades and the lid with hot soapy water and rinse thoroughly with clear water. Dry before assembling.
- Clean the housing with a damp cloth or sponge. Make sure that no liquid enters into the appliance. Never immerse the motor block in water or any other liquid.
• Never clean the appliance with metallic utensils and do not use any abrasives.

For our products, the legal terms concerning claims under guarantee are valid. During the legal period, all material and manufacturing defects are covered. No claims will be accepted for broken accessories, defects resulting from inappropriate use or care, excessive wear due to intensive use, wrong use due to the non-observance of the instruction manual, or normal wear and tear. No guarantee claims will be accepted if the appliance has been modified or if attempts have been made to repair the appliance. In such case, the vendor cannot be held responsible in case of accidents.

If you detect a defect, please contact your vendor or shop and return your complete appliance in its original packaging together with the receipt. Claims under guarantee will only be valid if the receipt or a copy of a repair bill is handed over with the appliance that needs repair.

Or send the appliance cleaned, well packed and with a short, easily readable description of the default as well as the receipt freight prepaid to our customer service in our firm in Bad Blankenburg.

In case of a defective accessory, the complete appliance will not be exchanged, but only the accessory will be sent free of charge. In such case, do not return the complete appliance but only order the accessory! In case of glass damages, glass spare parts will be charged. Pieces undergoing wear and tear as well as cleaning and maintenance or the exchange of worn out pieces are not covered by the guarantee and will thus be charged!

Repairs after the guarantee period can be performed at a charge by a competent qualified technician or a repair service.
