To prevent overloads to the electricity network, do not use at the same time as other high-voltage appliances on the same circuit.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Look for the "Iron" symbol on the garments with the dots indicating the correct temperature to set on the thermostat of your appliance. Follow these instructions. If the garment does not have any care instructions, refer to the following table:
- Nylon and acetate
- Wool, silk or mixed fabrics
Cotton, linen (steam)
These indications relate to the fabric of the garment and not to any applications in other materials such as embroideries, designs, etc. Fabrics with decorations applied (embossed designs, fabric designs, embroideries) must be ironed at a moderate temperature.
If the fabric consists of various fibres, always choose the temperature suitable to the fibre that requires the lowest temperature.
DRY IRONING
Insert the plug into a compatible power outlet (the indicating light (L) will light up).
Position (E) on "0" to exclude the steam discharge.
Rotate the thermostat (H) until the preselected temperature indication coincides with the reference triangle on the tank. The indicating light (L) turns off when the set temperature is reached.
After checking that the temperature set is the one most suitable to the type of fabric, start ironing.
FILLING OF THE WATER TANK
IMPORTANT: to be carried out with the plug disconnected and the regulator (E) on the "O" position which excludes the steam discharge; open the window (D). Using the cup with the spout (M) slowly fill the tank (A) with water (do not use additives). Rest the iron in a vertical position and make sure the amount of water does not exceed the MAX level indicated on the tank.
STEAM IRONING
With the tank full (as indicated in the previous paragraph), insert the plug into a compatible power outlet.
Regulate the thermostat (H) to the maximum temperature (indicated by the symbol ...).
Wait for the indicating light (L) to turn off signalling that the temperature has been reached.
Steam ironing is only possible at an elevated temperature, otherwise water may leak foam the sole plate (B). Set the amount of steam desired via the steam control (E).
At this point, it is possible to start steam ironing until the water is used up.
After use and before storing the appliance away, disconnect the plug from the power outlet and empty the tank.
USE OF THE SPRAY
The spray function can be used with both steam ironing and dry ironing; press button (F) to activate. It may be necessary to press it more than once at the beginning.
STEAM JET
The steam jet provides added assistance in eliminating particularly stubborn creases.
With the thermostat (H) on “…” and the indicating light (L) off, position the steam control (E) at the lowest temperature, press the button (G) to obtain the steam jet (it may be necessary to press it more than once at the beginning). Wait a few seconds before using another steam jet, so that the steam can penetrate into the fabric. Note: do not subject the item to mare than three consecutive steam jets.
CLEANING
With the plug disconnected and the iron cold, clean the appliance and the stainless steel plate with a soft cloth. Any operations for cleaning scale deposits are not covered by the warranty, and therefore are at the expense of the customer.
