> Important Safety instructions

The instructions include safety guidelines and other information important for the proper functioning of the appliance. Please read the instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place.

If the appliance changes hands, be sure to give the instructions to the new owner. It is in your own interest to follow all safety guidelines.

• This appliance is suitable for use with a 220 to 230 Volt AC power supply.
• This appliance must not be used in damp areas like bathrooms or shower enclosures or above a washbasin filled with water.

WARNING! Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.

• When connected to the mains the appliance should not be placed on a wet surface or wet cloth.
  The appliance is protected against overheating, which may happen for

example if the air inlet is covered. If overheating occurs the appliance will switch off automatically. You should then place the switch in the 0 position and wait 6 minutes before using it again.

• Where the drying process is interrupted for an extended period, the appliance should be disconnected by removing the plug from the socket. Do this by pulling on the plug, not the cable.
• Do not use the appliance if the cable or the appliance is damaged, for example as the result of being dropped.
• This appliance can be used by children

from the age of 8 up as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or with lacking experience and/ or knowledge, if these persons are supervised or have been instructed how to use the appliance in a safe way and have understood the hazards which could arise from using it. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.

• The installation of a faulty current protective device with a rated breaking

current offers you additional safety by ensuring that 30mA will not be exceeded in the house installation. Let your installation electrician advise you!

• The round brushes, especially the tips, can become very hot during operation and lead to possible burns. Never grasp at the round brush, especially not at the tip, when the appliance is on. Avoid any contact to skin and eyes. Never transport the round brush when it's hot!

• Equipment which has been switched off can also present a hazard, so the plug must always be removed from the socket after use.

• In the event of damage to the cable the appliance must be taken out of use and repaired by a competent electrician.

• The cable must never be wound around the appliance as this can cause damage.
• If the connection cable is damaged, it should only be replaced by a service agent recommended by the manufacturer in order to prevent any danger! Please contact the manufacturer or his customer service.
• There is always risk of injury when using electrical appliances improperly!
• To prevent unintentional misuse, keep the appliance stored away in a safe place.

>Operating instructions

Towel dry the hair after washing. Insert the plug in the socket.

Divide the hair into narrow strands.

Take hold of a strand and pull it straight out from the head. Place the styler brush against the hair strand, close to the head and on the side where you want that strand to fall, and pull the brush through the hair. This method will spread the hair evenly across the brush. Pull the brush to the end of the strand and catch the hair ends in the brush. Now roll the brush up until you reach the head (or stop earlier if you only want to curl the ends).

Now switch on the appliance and allow the curl to dry. Once the curl is dry,

switch off the styler. Unroll the curl until you can remove the round brush from the curl. Allow the curl you have formed to dry before brushing it through. Proceed in the same way, strand by strand. After a little practice with the styler you will soon learn how to achieve the results you are looking for.

> Cleaning and maintenance

Always remove the plug from the socket before cleaning. Never immerse the appliance in water. Protect the appliance against dust. Clean the air inlet occasionally with a small brush. Clean the outside of the styler with a slightly damp cloth, then dry it with a dry cloth.

>Guarantee

The guarantee covers this product for a period of 2 years, with the exception of individual parts, beginning on the date of original purchase. Use of the guarantee does not result in extension of the guarantee period. The guarantee covers manufacturing faults and material faults in original parts. This guarantee does not include normal wear and tear and damage to the product by accident or misuse, abuse, alteration to the product or use inconsistent with the technical and/or safety instructions required.

If your product requires repair, you should contact an authorized service dealer.

Never dispose of your appliance with the regular household waste. Follow the waste disposal regulations for your locality or return your appliance to the retailer. Retain the retailer's receipt as proof of purchase.
