Never aim the sensor at refl ective surfaces such as smooth white walls. Make sure that the motion detector is aimed at the area to be monitored. The motion detector‘s monitoring area can vary depending on the mounting height, mounting location as well as ambient temperature. BA-A6_NL09.indd 9 05.03.2010 10:56:4610 Operating instruction Operation This nightlight has 3 functions: On: The nightlight is on constantly Off: The nightlight is off constantly Auto: In darkness, the integrated motion detector activates the light auto- matically for 30 seconds. The motion detector registers the movements of persons in the monitoring area. The light will remain on as long as there is a person moving in the monitoring area. Maintenance and Cleaning The product is maintenance-free. Do not perform any technical alterations on this product. To clean, fi rst remove the nightlight from the electrical outlet. Then you can clean the nightlight with a soft, clean, dry cloth. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, as they can damage the plastic housing. Disposal Do not dispose of electrical devices in your household rubbish! In compli- ance with European Guideline 2002/96/EC concerning used electrical and electronic devices and the implementation of this guideline in national law, used electrical and electronic devices must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally sound manner. You can learn about currently applicable disposal measures for used electrical devices from your county or municipal administrative agencies.
