Frequently Asked Questions - STEAMBOOST-07.3 VALBERG

How long does it take for the VALBERG STEAMBOOST-07.3 to be ready for ironing?
The iron reaches its operating temperature in about 3 minutes. Wait for the heating indicator to turn off before starting to achieve optimal steam.
What is the steam pressure of the STEAMBOOST-07.3?
It delivers a maximum pressure of 7 bar, with a continuous steam output of 130 g/min and a steam boost of 270 g/min. These performances allow you to tackle the toughest wrinkles on cotton and linen.
Can I refill the tank while the iron is on?
Yes, the 1.8 L tank is removable and can be refilled continuously without waiting for the appliance to cool down. Do not exceed the maximum level indicated on the tank.
What type of water should be used in the VALBERG STEAMBOOST-07.3?
The appliance accepts ordinary tap water thanks to its integrated anti-scale collector. You can also use a mixture of half tap water and half distilled water to extend the collector's lifespan.
Does the iron turn off automatically if I forget to switch it off?
Yes, an automatic standby mode activates after 20 minutes of inactivity (power consumption reduced to 0.4 W). Pick up the iron to resume heating.
How do I use the vertical steam function?
Hang the garment or curtain, hold the iron vertically, and press the steam trigger. The vertical steam is suitable for jackets, suits, and delicate items that cannot be laid flat.
How do I lock the iron for storage?
The STEAMBOOST-07.3 has a locking system that secures the iron on the base to prevent the risk of falling during transport or storage. Refer to the manual for the exact location of the lock.
How do I maintain the anti-scale system?
The iron is equipped with a removable anti-scale collector. Remove it regularly (frequency depends on your water hardness), empty the accumulated scale, and rinse it before putting it back in place. This preserves the steam output and the appliance's lifespan.
Can the steam level be adjusted according to the fabric?
Yes, the STEAMBOOST-07.3 offers 3 steam levels and manual temperature adjustment. Choose a low setting for synthetics and silk, and the maximum setting for cotton and linen.
What should I do if the iron no longer produces steam or spits water?
First check the water level in the tank and let the appliance heat for a full 3 minutes. If the problem persists, empty and rinse the anti-scale collector: excessive clogging blocks steam production and causes water spitting.
What is the length of the STEAMBOOST-07.3's power cord?
The power cord is 1.8 m long. Depending on your ironing space setup, an extension cord might be needed.
What is the weight of the VALBERG STEAMBOOST-07.3 steam generator iron?
The appliance weighs 5.2 kg (net weight). The iron itself remains light in use as it is relieved of the boiler, which is supported by the base.

How to clean the sole after descaling if the holes are dirty or brown?
Frequently Asked Questions - 10 d
Response Notice-Facile

After descaling your VALBERG STEAMBOOST-07.3 steam generator, it is normal for some limescale residues to remain in the holes of the soleplate. Here’s how to clean them effectively:

  • Use a damp non-metallic sponge - Gently rub the ceramic soleplate with a sponge soaked in water. This is the method recommended by the manufacturer for regular maintenance of the soleplate.
  • Hot water to dissolve residues - Use hot water to help dissolve limescale deposits in the holes.
  • Neutral cleaning product if necessary - If the sponge alone is not enough, you can use a cloth soaked in a neutral pH product, then dry thoroughly.
  • Prohibited: sharp or pointed objects - Never use toothpicks, metal brushes, or sharp objects to scrape the holes, as this would damage the ceramic soleplate.
  • Prohibited: abrasive cleaning products - The manufacturer specifies not to use commercial cleaning or descaling products to clean the soleplate.

Once the soleplate is completely dry, your appliance is ready for use. Regularly clean the soleplate after each use to prevent the buildup of residues.

Is there a rod to remove after taking off the drain plug under the base of the VALBERG STEAMBOOST-07 steam generator?
Frequently Asked Questions - 10 d
Response Notice-Facile

No, there is no rod to remove on this steam generator. The black drain plug ("drain plug") that you have removed is the only element to handle in order to access the boiler.

Once the plug is removed, you can proceed with cleaning and rinsing directly:

  • Pour two glasses of water into the boiler
  • Reattach the plug
  • Turn the device upright and shake it vigorously for 30 seconds
  • Unscrew the plug again and empty the water
  • Repeat this operation until the water is clear

The presence of the removable limescale collector (located elsewhere on the device) could be a source of confusion. This is removed separately to be emptied and rinsed, but it is not a rod.

Respond (be the first)
What is the removable limescale collector of the VALBERG STEAMBOOST-07 steam generator?
Frequently Asked Questions - 06/04/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The removable limescale collector is a maintenance part integrated into your VALBERG STEAMBOOST-07 steam generator. It captures and accumulates minerals (limescale/calcium deposits) naturally present in the water while you use the device.

What is it for?

This collector protects the internal circuits of the machine by trapping limescale before it damages sensitive components. Without it, limescale would accumulate in the pipes and reduce performance.

When to clean it?

You should regularly remove and empty this collector - the frequency depends on the hardness of your water. Excessive buildup can block steam production and cause water spitting during ironing.

How to maintain it?

  • Remove it regularly according to your water quality
  • Empty the accumulated limescale directly into the sink
  • Rinse it thoroughly with clear water
  • Reinsert it correctly

Tip: Also remember to empty the water from the tank after each use to reduce overall limescale buildup in the device.

Why does the descaling indicator remain lit after descaling the VALBERG STEAMBOOST-07 steam generator?
Frequently Asked Questions - 06/04/2026
Response Notice-Facile

If the descaling indicator remains lit after a descaling cycle, it may indicate that the descaling sensor has not been completely reset. Here are the steps to follow:

  • Check that the water coming out is completely clear and transparent, without any traces of minerals or residues. If it remains slightly cloudy, continue rinsing.
  • After complete descaling (shaking for at least 30 seconds until clear water is obtained), turn off the device completely and let it cool for 5 minutes.
  • Turn the steam generator back on. The indicator should turn off once the boiler is recognized as cleaned by the electronic system.
  • If the indicator persists after these steps, perform a second descaling cycle, ensuring to shake the device for at least 30 seconds and check that the water is crystal clear before concluding.

The indicator may take a moment to turn off after a complete descaling. If the problem persists despite several attempts, it may indicate a mineral sensor issue that requires intervention.

How to descale the VALBERG STEAMBOOST-07.3 steam generator?
Frequently Asked Questions - 05/03/2026
Response Notice-Facile

Descaling is essential to maintain the performance of your VALBERG STEAMBOOST-07.3 steam generator. A descaling indicator light will illuminate on the control panel to signal the right time. Here is the complete procedure to follow:

  • Preparation: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn off the device, then let it cool completely before starting the descaling process.
  • Accessing the boiler: Bring the device near a sink on a flat and stable surface. Remove the water tank from its position by grasping it by its handle.
  • Initial draining: Turn the device upside down and unscrew the drain plug located under the boiler. Completely empty the water contained in the boiler.
  • Rinsing: Pour two glasses of water into the boiler through the access opening, then screw the plug back on. Return the device to its normal position and place the iron on a flat surface.
  • Shaking: Hold the steam generator firmly with both hands and shake it gently for 30 seconds. This shaking helps to dislodge the limescale deposits.
  • Checking the water: Unscrew the drain plug and let the water flow out. If the water is not clear, repeat the rinsing operation (pour two glasses of water, shake for 30 seconds, drain) until you obtain perfectly clear water.

Finalization: Once the water is clear, securely screw the drain plug back on and replace your iron on its stand, ensuring it is locked properly. After descaling, turn off the device completely and wait for it to cool down before using it normally.

Important tips: If the descaling indicator remains lit after the operation, ensure that the water tank is completely empty before restarting the device. To prevent limescale buildup and space out descaling, always empty any remaining water in the tank into the sink after each use. Never add descaling products, vinegar, or chemicals to the tank - plain water is sufficient.
