What is the actual power of the EDENWOOD MAXISOUND and why is it so high?
Frequently Asked Questions - 23 j
Response Notice-Facile

The EDENWOOD MEGASOUND (model 974694) boasts an impressive peak power of 2200 W, with an RMS power of 4 x 200 W (which is 800 W in actual output). This bi-amplified architecture dedicates 2 x 200 W to the bass and 2 x 200 W to the treble, ensuring powerful and balanced sound across the entire frequency range (50 Hz to 20 kHz).

It is important to understand that the peak power (2200 W) is the maximum instantaneous power that the speaker can deliver, while the RMS power (800 W) represents the continuous and actual power. These values are not marketing bluff: they reflect a true capability for robust sound reproduction in demanding environments.

This high power is justified by several factors:

  • Designed for professional or semi-professional use - The speaker is designed to amplify sound in large rooms, events, and parties, requiring a significant power reserve to effectively cover the sound area without distortion even at high volume.
  • Management of multiple audio sources - The speaker accepts multiple inputs simultaneously (Bluetooth, USB, 2 microphones, guitar, FM radio, line). Each of these sources may require amplified power, hence the need for a comfortable reserve.
  • Wide frequency response - With a range of 50 Hz to 20 kHz, the speaker reproduces both very low frequencies (deep bass) and high frequencies (crystal-clear treble). This wide response range demands power suited to each frequency register.
  • TWS (True Wireless Stereo) functionality - You can connect two MEGASOUND speakers wirelessly to create an enhanced stereo system, thus doubling the available power and allowing for better sound coverage.
  • Class II protection - The speaker is robustly built to withstand intensive and professional use, with a stable power consumption of 200 W ensuring performance even during prolonged use.

In summary, the 2200 W peak (800 W RMS) is not exaggerated marketing: it allows this speaker to deliver clear and powerful sound even in noisy environments, for large events or semi-professional uses. The distinction between bass and treble also ensures a complete and balanced sound quality.

Respond (be the first)
Is the EDENWOOD MAXISOUND sufficient to sound a 100 m² party room?
Frequently Asked Questions - 23 j
Response Notice-Facile

Yes, the EDENWOOD MEGASOUND (sometimes referred to as MAXISOUND) is well-suited to sound a 100 m² party room. With its 800 W RMS power (4 x 200 W: 2 x 200 W for bass + 2 x 200 W for treble) and 2200 W peak, it provides generous sound coverage for a room of this size. The frequency response of 50 Hz to 20 kHz (-12 dB) ensures deep bass and clear treble, essential for creating a lively party atmosphere with good music.

To optimize your setup, you have several connectivity options: the 10-meter Bluetooth range allows you to control the speaker wirelessly from any point in the room. You can also directly connect audio devices via the LINE IN input (3.5 mm jack), or plug in microphones (2 MIC inputs 6.35 mm jack) and a guitar to create a live atmosphere. The built-in equalizer offers 5 sound modes (ROCK, JAZZ, SAMBA, POP, BALAN) to tailor the output to your type of music.

If you are planning a very large party or an event that requires more power, the TWS mode allows you to connect two MEGASOUND speakers wirelessly, bringing your combined power to 1600 W RMS. This option also provides better quality stereo output. The two speakers connect via Bluetooth in less than a minute, and a single Bluetooth source is enough to control them together.

Practical points for your use: the speaker measures 350 x 370 x 1120 mm and weighs 18.4 kg, it is equipped with wheels for easy transport. It has a sturdy handle and adjustable LED light effects (4 effects + strobe light) that enhance the atmosphere. Its AC power supply of 100-240 V makes it compatible with any power outlet, with a consumption of 200 W during normal operation. The speaker automatically turns off after 15 minutes of inactivity (energy-saving function).

In summary, for a 100 m² room, this speaker alone is sufficient for most festive uses. If you want more power or optimal stereo output, adding a second speaker via TWS mode remains the best option.

How to connect two EDENWOOD MAXISOUND speakers for stereo sound?
Frequently Asked Questions - 07/02/2026
Response Notice-Facile

To connect two EDENWOOD MAXISOUND speakers and enjoy stereo sound or simultaneous playback, here are the possible methods depending on the features of your speakers:

1. Bluetooth Connection (if supported)

  • Turn on Bluetooth on the first speaker.
  • Pair this speaker with your source device (smartphone, tablet, computer).
  • Activate pairing mode between speakers (often called TWS or stereo mode) on the first speaker by holding down a dedicated button (check the instructions on the speaker).
  • Turn on Bluetooth on the second speaker and put it in pairing mode with the first speaker.
  • Once the two speakers are connected to each other, the sound will be played simultaneously on both devices.

2. Wired Connection

  • If your speakers have an audio output (3.5 mm jack) and an auxiliary input, you can connect the audio output of the first speaker to the auxiliary input of the second speaker using a 3.5 mm jack cable.
  • Turn on both speakers and adjust the volume to your preference.
  • The sound will then be transmitted from the first speaker to the second.

Additional Tips

  • Make sure both speakers are compatible with daisy chaining or stereo connection.
  • Check that the batteries of the speakers are sufficiently charged to avoid interruptions.
  • If you are unable to connect the speakers, try resetting the Bluetooth settings of the devices.

This procedure allows you to enjoy a better sound experience by using two EDENWOOD MAXISOUND speakers simultaneously.

Why does my Edenwood MAXISOUND speaker turn off by itself and how can I fix it?
Frequently Asked Questions - 06/02/2026
Response Notice-Facile

If your Edenwood MAXISOUND speaker turns off automatically, it is usually due to a standard energy-saving feature or a setting that needs to be checked.

Automatic shutdown after 15 minutes of inactivity: This is the most common cause. The speaker automatically turns off after 15 minutes of inactivity to save energy. This is a built-in protection of the product. To continue using the speaker, simply press the Power button to turn it back on.

Checking the power supply: Although the speaker is powered by mains (220-240V AC), make sure the power cord is securely plugged into a functional wall outlet. Test the outlet by plugging in another device to confirm it works. Also, check that the Power button responds correctly and is not stuck.

Device overheating: Prolonged use or high ambient temperature can trigger an automatic protection shutdown. Place the speaker in a well-ventilated area, away from direct heat sources or sunlight. Allow it to cool down for a few minutes before turning it back on if it feels hot.

Bluetooth connection issues: A loss of Bluetooth connection may give the impression that the speaker is turning off. Bring your device within 10 meters of the speaker (maximum Bluetooth range), then turn the speaker off and back on. Restart pairing by pressing and holding the Bluetooth/TWS button until you see "BT" on the screen.

Cleaning and static electricity: Dust or static electricity can affect the control buttons. Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth (no harsh chemicals). If the problem persists after these checks, technical intervention may be necessary. Your speaker comes with a 2-year warranty covering manufacturing defects: contact Edenwood customer service or your retailer.
