SAFETY CAUTIONS

• AFTER UNPACKING THE APPLIANCE, MAKE SURE IT IS NOT DAMAGED. IN CASE OF DOUBT, DO NOT USE THE APPLIANCE AND CONTACT YOUR SUPPLIER OR A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN.
• THE USE OF ACCESSORY AND ATTACHMENTS NOT RECOMMENDED BY THE MANUFACTURER MAY CAUSE INJURIES.
• THE APPLIANCE MUST NOT BE USED IF IT HAS BEEN DROPPED, IF IT HAS ANY VISIBLE DAMAGE, IF IT LEAKS OR IF IT FUNCTIONS ABNORMALLY IN ANY WAY.
• ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE IF NOT USING IT FOR A PERIOD OF TIME.
• REMOVE ALL PACKAGING AND DO NOT LEAVE THE PACKAGING MATERIAL SUCH AS PLASTIC BAGS, POLYSTYRENE AND ELASTIC BANDS IN EASY REACH OF CHILDREN AS THEY MAY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURIES.
• AFTER UNPACKING YOUR APPLIANCE, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PUT IT ON A FLAT, STABLE AND HEAT-RESISTANT SURFACE. CHECK YOU HAD LEAVE ENOUGH SPACE BETWEEN YOUR APPLIANCE AND SURROUNDING WALL TO LET THE AIR CIRCULATE AROUND. THERE SHOULD BE AT LEAST 50CM ON THE TOP AND 20CM ON SIDES APART FROM THE APPLIANCE.
• THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED.

• CHECK THAT YOUR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION IS SUFFICIENT FOR SUPPLYING THIS APPLIANCE.

• TAKE ALL NECESSARY MEASURE WITH CORDS AND EXTENSIONS TO AVOID ANY INJURIES WHILE IN USE.

• FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, WE RECOMMEND YOU NEVER LEAVE THE APPLIANCE IN A PLACE THAT IS EXPOSED TO HUMIDITY OR INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITION.
• DO NOT PUT THIS APPLIANCE ON TOP OF OTHERS.
• NEVER LEAVE APPLIANCE PLUGGED IN WHEN NOT IN USE.
• NEVER MOVE THE APPLIANCE WHEN IN USE.
• NEVER PLUG THE APPLIANCE AND TOUCH THE THERMOSTAT WITH WET HANDS. NEVER USE THE APPLIANCE WITH BARE OR WET FEET.
• NEVER UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BY PULLING THE POWER CABLE. ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE FROM THE MAIN SOCKET.
• ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE AND LET IT COOL DOWN COMPLETELY BEFORE ANY CLEANING OPERATION.
• NEVER IMMERSE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID THIS APPLIANCE, ITS ELECTRIC PLUG AND CORD.
• THE SUPPLY CORD SHOULD BE REGULARLY EXAMINED FOR SIGNS OF DAMAGE AND THE APPLIANCE IS NOT TO BE USED IF THE CORD IS DAMAGED.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS ON RECYCLING

The European Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) requires that old household electrical appliances must not be

disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.

The crossed out "wheeled bin" symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance, it must be separately collected.

Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their old appliance.

SET UP AND USE

Before first use

Remove all packaging and do not leave the packaging material such as plastic bags, polystyrene and elastic bands in easy reach of children as they may cause serious injuries.

Clean the outer body with a dry clean cloth.

Rinse the kettle with hot water to clean the inner side.

Do not immerse the appliance into water. Do not put the appliance into a dishwasher.

Using your appliance

2. Functioning

1. Fill your kettle with water. Ensure to respect the minimal and maximal level.
2. Close the lid by one push and place the kettle on its base.
3. Plug your kettle. Note : if you do not put the kettle on its base the display will show “E”.
4. The kettle will make a sound « bip » and the ON/OFF button will light on.
5. When your kettle is filled with water, the display will show the water temperature.
6. Press on the select button « + » to select your desired heating temperature for your water: 60/70/80/90/100 (boil). Every time you press on this button, the LCD will show the temperature to select.

7. Press on the ON/OFF button to start heating the water..

8. The display will show the reached temperature and the ON/OFF button will light on. During the heating cyle, the ON/OFF button light will be fixed and the set up temperature will flash.

9. At the end of the heating cycle, the kettle will emit 3 "bips" and the ON/OFF button will flash.
10. Press one time on the ON/OFF button to switch off.
11. If you want to use the keep warm function, press one time on the keep warm button then again the ON/OFF button to start the 1H keep warm cycle.

Note : Your kettle is equipped with keep warm function which will keep automatically keep your water warm at 90^ C for 1h. To use this function from the beginning, proceed to below steps:

1. Fill your kettle with water. Ensure to respect the minimal and maximal level.
2. Close the lid by one push and place the kettle on its base.
3. Plug your kettle.
4. The kettle will make a sound « bip » and the ON/OFF button will light on.
5. If your kettle is empty, the LCD display will show the water temperature to indicate you it's ready to use.
6. After checking you have filled your kettle with water, press one time on the keep warm button
7. Press the button ON/OFF to start the heating cycle and the keep warm cycle. During this cycle the ON/OFF and keep warm button will keep the fixed lighting and the temperature on the display will flash.
8. When the water reach 90^ C for ready to use, the kettle will make 3 bips sound. The kettle will automatically switch on the keep warm function for 1h. After 1h, the kettle will make a sound then switch off automatically.

3. Water temperature recommendations and infusion time

Below are our water temperature suggestions depending on your type of preparation. Warning: Never put preparations inside the kettle.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the outer surface with a soft cloth (or sponge) on the surfaces of the appliance.

To clean the inner side of the kettle, we recommend to perform the descending process 2 times per year as follows:

1. Fill your kettle until MAX level (1.7L) with water (2/3) and white vinegar (1/3).
2. Heat this mixed water/vinegar at 90^ C and let it rest overnight.
3. Throw away this water on the next day.
4. Fill your kettle until MAX level (1.7L) with water and heat it. Throw away this water.
5. Then rinse the inner of the kettle with cold water to eliminate the vinegar smells.

• Do not use a hard brush or any others cleaners to avoid matching or damaging the appliance. Never immerse the appliance.
