Important safety instruction

Thank you for purchasing the Edifier R2000DB Multimedia Bookshelf Speakers. For generations, Edifier has provided powered speaker products to satisfy the needs of our customers. The R2000DB speakers offer a whole new way to hear the world through your home entertainment, personal computer, and mini home theater systems with great sound performance. Please read this manual to get the most out of t his system.

The lightning flash with arrowhead inside the triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of un-insulated dangerous voltage within the product's enclosure that may be of a sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.

To prevent the risk of electric shock, do not remove cover (or back). No user-serviceable Parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified Service personnel only.

The exclamation point inside the triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance(servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the product.

  1. Read these instructions.
  2. Keep these instructions.
  3. Heed all warnings.

  5. Do not use this apparatus near water.
  6. Clean only with dry cloth.
  7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
  8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.

  11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
  12. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  13. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
  14. The MAINS plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.

Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.

This product contains a coin/button cell battery. If the coin/button cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death.

Keep new and used batteries away from children, if the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.

If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of body, seek immediate medical attention.

The battery (in remote control) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

Battery loading:

Please refer to the illustration to open the battery compartment, insert the CR 2025 battery and close the compartment.

Note:

  1. Do not place the remote control in places that are hot and humid.
  2. Do not charge the batteries.
  3. Remove the batteries when unused for long period of time.
  4. The battery should not be exposed to excessive heat such as direct sun, fire or similar.

Bluetooth® setup

① Turn on R2000DB speakers and switch to Bluetooth mode by pressing the Bluetooth button on the remote or pushing the volume dial on the back panel of the active speaker until the indicator LED turns blue.
② Set your input device (mobile phone, tablet device, MP3/MP4 player etc.) to search for Bluetooth device and select "EDIFIER R2000DB".
③ Pair your device with "EDIFIER R2000DB".
④ Play the audio on your device and adjust the volume to a desired level.
⑤ To disconnect Bluetooth: Press & hold

Note:

  1. Bluetooth connectivity and compatibility may be different between different source devices, depending on the software versions of source devices.
  2. To enjoy the full Bluetooth functions of this product, please ensure your mobile device has A2DP profile.
  3. PIN code for connection is "0000" if needed.

Troubleshooting

ProblemSolution
No sound• Switch the EDIFIER R2000DB speakers off then on and reconnect the audio source. • Make sure the master volume control knob on the back is turned up. • Ensure the audio input is connected and input is set correctly on the speakers. • Check if there is a signal from the audio source.
Cannot connect via Bluetooth• Ensure Bluetooth functionality is enabled and compatible on your Bluetooth device. • Move the device closer and retry the connection. • Try another Bluetooth device for connection
The R2000DB does not turn on• Check if power is connected, and if the wall outlet is switched on. • Switch the system off then on and reconnect to the audio source.
