This appliance is intended for household use only.

This appliance is not intended for use in domestic and similar environments such as staff kitchen areas in shops, offices or other work environments, farms, hotels, motels or other residential or bed and breakfast type environments. Do not use this appliance outdoors. Only use this appliance for food preparation. Before plugging in your appliance, make sure that the voltage of your home matches that indicated on the appliance rating plate. Always connect your appliance to an easily accessible electrical outlet. Always place the appliance on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface.

Repairs cannot be performed by the user. • Do not use the appliance if the jar is broken, chipped or damaged or if the blades are broken. • Switch off and unplug the appliance before leaving it unattended and before assembling, disassembling, or cleaning it. • Turn the appliance off and unplug it from the power supply before changing accessories or approaching its moveable parts when it is running. •

Keep your hands and utensils out of the container when blending foods to reduce risk of bodily injury or damage to the appliance.

If the jar’s blades get jammed and do not move, it could damage the motor. Stop the appliance and unplug it from the power point. You can insert a spatula or other utensil into the container to loosen it only when the appliance is unplugged. Do not remove the motor unit from the jar until the blades have stopped moving. Let the appliance cool before cleaning or storing it. To clean surfaces in contact with food, please refer to the “Cleaning and maintenance” section at the end of this manual. WARNING! • Do not immerse the jar in water. To clean the jar, see the “Cleaning and maintenance Cleaning the jar” section. • The appliance and accessories must not be washed in the dishwasher! 1.

Before using for the first time, be sure to thoroughly wash all of the blender’s components, except the motor unit, with soapy water.

Rinse with clean water and thoroughly dry using a soft cloth. Refer to the “Cleaning and Maintenance” section for cleaning precautions.

• The jar contains very sharp blades. Handle them with care! • Respect the level marks indicated on the jar. Failure to do so may result in damage to the appliance and/or injury to yourself. • Do not place hot food in the appliance. Use cold or warm food. The maximum temperature must be less than 60 °C. V.1.0

Do not put a spatula or any other utensil into the jar during operation. You may insert a utensil into the jar only once the appliance has stopped.

We do not recommend putting raw meat or fish into the machine. Please precook them before adding them to the jar. Never place the following items in the blender: bones, frozen food (except ice cubes), hard food. Do not operate this appliance continuously for more than two minutes for liquids or more than one minute for solid foods. Take a 10-minute break before using the appliance again. Do not use the appliance when empty (without food).

Place the blender jar on the motor unit and turn it slightly clockwise to lock it.

The lid cannot be removed when the jar is locked.

Plug the power cord into a functioning mains socket.

Turn the on/off knob to the “ON” position. The indicator light on the on/off knob flashes blue. You can choose one of the 3 functions: “SMOOTHIE”, “ICE CRUSH” or “PULSE”. Press the button corresponding to the desired function. The button lights up and the appliance starts to operate.

Put the food to be blended in the jar.

Place the lid on the blender jar and make sure it’s properly seated.

Turn the lid clockwise until it clicks in place. The 2 prongs on the lid must be correctly inserted into the 2 prongs on the glass jar. Plug the filling opening in the lid with the measuring cap. The measuring cap has 2 functions: to measure and prevent splashing. Turn the cap clockwise until it clicks in place.

For making smoothies*, milk-shakes, etc.

SMOOTHIE ICE CRUSH For maximum control over the fineness of the mixture.

The unit operates at high speed.

Release the button to stop the unit.

Press the “SMOOTHIE” button once: the blender runs intermittently at high speed.

*“Smoothies” are thick drinks made by mixing fresh or frozen fruit and fruit juices

(sometimes accompanied by ice cream or yoghurt).

You can also adjust the operating speed of the unit during mixing:

- Set the “ON/OFF” knob to the “ON” position and then turn the knob to a position between the “MIN” mark (low speed) and the “MAX” mark (high speed). - [TAB]Choose the most suitable speed for the ingredients used. The unit will operate at the selected speed until you return the on/off button to the “OFF” position.

If the motor overheats, the unit automatically stops to prevent damage to the motor. Wait about 10 minutes until the unit cools down, unplug it and plug it in again: the appliance can be used again. 10.

When your preparation is ready, turn the on/off button to the “OFF” position and unplug the plug from the power point.

Remove the jar from its base. Remove the lid. You can now serve the preparation.

It is essential that you take special precautions when handling them to avoid injury. • Never use scouring pads or abrasive detergents for cleaning.

DISMANTLING THE APPLIANCE

Practical tips for use

Cut meat or solid food into pieces before putting them in the blender. If you need to mix/chop large amounts of solid food, do so in small portions. • Some preparations cannot be properly made in a blender: - Whisked egg whites - Whipped cream - Mashed potatoes - Minced raw meat - Kneaded dough - Fruit and vegetable juice extraction • Liquids or other ingredients can be added at any time without stopping the machine. Remove the measuring cap from the lid (by turning it anticlockwise). Do not exceed the maximum recommended quantities.

Lift the blender jar off its base and place it on a flat, stable surface.

Remove the measuring cap by turning it anticlockwise. Turn the lid anticlockwise and remove the lid. Make sure the blender jar is empty, turn it over and place it on a flat and stable surface.

Unscrew the 4-blade knife assembly by turning it clockwise to the “OPEN” position.

During reassembly, pay close attention to which way up the gasket is on the base: smooth side towards the base and ribbed side towards the glass of the jar.

GENERAL CLEANING RECOMMENDATIONS Immediately rinse all the parts after use for easy cleaning.

• Wipe the motor unit with a sponge, and then thoroughly dry it with a soft cloth. • Stubborn stains can be removed with a damp sponge and possibly a little non-abrasive detergent (washing up liquid, for example). • The removable parts (lid, measuring cap, blender jar) should be washed by hand with water and washing up liquid. No removable parts can be placed in the dishwasher. • Be sure to clean the lid seal and the 4-blade knife gasket thoroughly.
