How to reduce the risk of paper jams?

Use appropriate paper, respect the recommended weight (60–120 g/m² for the tray), do not overload the trays, and make sure the side guides are properly adjusted. Check that the paper is not wrinkled or damp. Refer to the paper jam reduction guide in the manual.

What to do if the print is too light?

Increase the Toner Intensity setting in the Quality menu (from 1 to 10, default value 8). Check the toner level and replace the cartridge if necessary. Make sure the paper type matches the setting.

How to clean the inside of the printer?

Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord. Open door A, remove the imaging unit and toner cartridge. Use a slightly damp lint-free cloth to clean the areas indicated in the manual. Do not touch the rollers. Close the door and reconnect.

How to replace the toner cartridge?

Open door A. Remove the imaging unit with the cartridge. Press the green lever to separate the cartridge. Insert the new cartridge into the unit until it clicks. Reinsert the unit into the printer and close the door. The manual details the replacement steps.

How to connect the printer to the Wi-Fi network?

From the control panel, go to Settings > Network/Ports > Wireless > Wireless Connection Setup. Select your network and enter the security key. You can also use the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) method via button or PIN.

The printer does not print, what should I do?

Check that the printer is on and the light is blue. Make sure the cables are properly connected (USB or network). Refer to the Troubleshooting page in the manual: check for jams, toner level, print queues on the computer. Restart the printer and computer.

How to print from a mobile device?

Use AirPrint (Apple), Mopria Print Service (Android), Google Cloud Print or Lexmark Mobile Print. Make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your mobile. Launch the app, select the document, then print.

How to link trays?

Access the Embedded Web Server via the printer's IP address. Go to Settings > Paper > Tray Configuration. Set the same paper size and type for the trays to link. Then in Settings > Device > Maintenance > Configuration Menu > Tray Configuration, set Tray Linking to Automatic.

What to do if vertical black lines appear on prints?

This may indicate a problem with the imaging unit or toner cartridge. First clean the lenses (refer to the cleaning guide). If the problem persists, replace the imaging unit. Also check that there is no spilled toner inside.

How to restore factory settings?

On the control panel, go to Settings > Device > Restore Factory Settings > Restore All Settings. Confirm the operation. This erases all custom settings and resets the printer to default values.

The replacement item assumes the remaining warranty period of the original product.
