How to load paper in the standard tray?

Remove the tray, adjust the guides to the paper size, fan and align the stack, then load it with the printable side down. Make sure the height does not exceed the indicators. Reinsert the tray and set the paper size/type from the control panel.

How to clear a paper jam?

Open the doors and gently remove the jammed paper. Check the tray, multipurpose feeder, fuser unit, and output bins. If any pieces remain, carefully remove them. Close all doors. The printer will automatically reprint lost pages if the recovery option is enabled.

How to connect the printer to Wi-Fi?

The MS822DE printer does not have built-in Wi-Fi. You can add an external Wi-Fi adapter or use the Ethernet connection. For Wi-Fi, install the adapter, then go to Settings > Network/Ports > Wireless and follow the instructions.

What to do if the printer displays 'Replace cartridge' when the toner is not empty?

This may be due to a non-Lexmark cartridge or an incorrect toner counter. Remove the cartridge, gently shake it to distribute the toner, then reinsert it. If the message persists, replace the cartridge with a genuine Lexmark cartridge.

How to print a confidential document?

From the print driver, select 'Print and Hold', then 'Confidential'. Assign a user name and a 4-digit PIN. On the printer, go to Held Jobs, select your name, enter the PIN, then confirm printing.

How to clean the inside of the printer?

Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord. Open the front cover and rear door. Use a slightly damp lint-free cloth to wipe the rollers, glass, and interior. Do not touch the fuser unit (hot). Let it dry before closing.

Which paper types are not recommended?

Avoid envelopes with stamps, staples, clasps, windows, or adhesive strips. Do not use damaged, damp, highly textured paper, or paper with non-standard perforations. Follow the supported paper weights to avoid jams.

How to reset to factory settings?

Go to Settings > Device > Restore Factory Settings. Confirm the operation. The printer will restart with default settings. Note: This action erases all custom settings.

Why are my prints too light?

Check the toner level and replace the cartridge if necessary. Make sure the paper type setting matches the loaded paper. You can adjust the toner darkness in Settings > Print > Quality > Toner Darkness.

How to update the firmware?

Download the latest firmware version from the Lexmark support website. Log in to the Embedded Web Server (printer IP address), go to Settings > Device > Maintenance > Microcode Update. Upload the file and follow the instructions.

designated location. You are responsible for loss of, or damage to, a product in transit to the Remarketer or the Lexmark designated location.

When warranty service involves the exchange of a product or part, the item replaced becomes the property of the Remarketer or Lexmark. The replacement may be a new or repaired item.

The replacement item assumes the remaining warranty period of the original product.

Replacement is not available to you if the product you present for exchange is defaced, altered, in need of a repair not included in warranty service, damaged beyond repair, or if the product is not free of all legal obligations, restrictions, liens, and encumbrances.

Before you present this product for warranty service, remove all print cartridges, programs, data, and removable storage media (unless directed otherwise by Lexmark).

Warranty service does not include repair of failures caused by:
