How to load paper in tray 1?

Pull the tray toward you, adjust the guides to the paper width, place the stack (print side up) and slide the tray until it stops. Ensure the paper does not exceed the capacity mark.

How to print automatic duplex?

In the print driver, select the Duplex option (Finishing or Paper tab). You can also enable it from the control panel in copy mode by pressing the Function menu key then Duplex.

How to scan a document to email?

Place the original on the glass or in the feeder. Press Send, select Email, enter the address, then press Start. SMTP configuration must be done beforehand in the System/Network menu.

What to do in case of a paper jam?

Open the top cover or front cover as indicated on the panel. Gently remove the jammed paper by pulling in the feed direction. Refer to chapter 10 of the manual for exact locations.

How to replace the toner cartridge?

Open the front cover, remove the old cartridge, insert the new one aligning the notches. Close the cover. The 'Replace toner' message disappears. Dispose of the used cartridge according to local regulations.

How to connect the printer to the network?

Connect an Ethernet cable to the back of the printer. In the System/Network menu, enable TCP/IP (IPv4 or IPv6). Configure the IP address via DHCP or manually, then install the driver on your computer.

How to save toner?

Enable EcoPrint mode from the control panel (Function menu > EcoPrint) or in the print driver under the Quality tab. This reduces toner density.

How to set the date and time?

Press System Menu/Counter, select Common Settings > Date Setting. Log in as administrator (login 3000, password 3000 by default). Set the time zone, date, and time.

What to do if the display is in a foreign language?

Press System Menu/Counter, then Common Settings > Language. Use the arrows to select 'French' and confirm with OK.

How to print a file from a USB flash drive?

Insert the USB flash drive into the front port. Press Document Box, then USB Memory. Select the file (PDF, JPEG, TIFF, XPS) and press Start.

1 Software shall mean the digitally encoded, machine readable, scalable outline data as encoded in a special format as well as the UFST Software.
