How to install the XDOM EMML micro-transmitter?

Drill a hole of 65 mm diameter and 40 mm depth. Insert the recessing box. Remove the battery protective tab, then connect the micro-transmitter cables to the switch according to the provided diagram. Place the micro-transmitter and the switch in the box, extending the antenna as far as possible. Check the operation by pressing buttons (1) and (0).

How to program a new house or unit code?

Press briefly and simultaneously the ON (1) and OFF (0) buttons. The LED turns orange. For the house code, press (1) the corresponding number of times (A=1, B=2, etc.). For the unit code, repeat step A then press (0) the corresponding number of times (1=1, 2=2, etc.). The LED flashes orange 3 times to confirm.

What to do if the micro-transmitter does not respond?

Check that the battery is correctly inserted and functional. Ensure the corresponding receiver is powered on and programmed with the same code. Allow a one-second delay between each command. If the problem persists, reset the code by following the programming procedure.

How to replace the battery?

Remove the micro-transmitter from its support. Open the battery compartment (usually on the back) and replace the used CR2032 battery with a new one, respecting polarity. Replace the micro-transmitter. The saved code remains stored.

What is the range of the micro-transmitter?

The typical range is approximately 30 meters in free field. It may be reduced by walls, metallic obstacles, or radio interference. For optimal range, fully extend the antenna and avoid obstacles.

Can I use this micro-transmitter with other brands of receivers?

The micro-transmitter is designed to be compatible with the EDOBE home automation range. It may work with other receivers using the same frequency (433 MHz) and coding protocol, but this is not guaranteed. Test with a compatible receiver.

The LED indicator does not light up, what to do?

First check that the battery is correctly installed and not discharged. Replace the battery if necessary. If the LED remains off, the micro-transmitter may be defective. Contact EDOBE customer service.

How to reset the micro-transmitter to factory settings?

The manual does not provide a factory reset. However, you can change the house and unit code by following the programming procedure with a different address (e.g., A1). The original code is A1.

Is the micro-transmitter compatible with LED bulbs?

Yes, the micro-transmitter is compatible with LED bulbs, as well as incandescent, halogen, low voltage, and energy-saving bulbs. It controls the receiver to which the bulb is connected.

Where to find the complete list of available codes?

House codes range from A to P (16 possibilities) and unit codes from 1 to 16 (16 possibilities), giving 256 combinations. You can choose any combination by following the programming procedure. No additional list is necessary.

INSTALLATION

1. Cut out a 65~mm hole 40~mm deep with a hole saw.
2. Set the insert box in the wall.
3. Remove the battery's protective tab then press the buttons to test. Pressing the (0) lights the red panel light. Pressing the (1) lights the green panel light.
4. Connect the Micro Transmitter's wires to the switch (see opposite diagram)
5. Place the Micro Transmitter and the switch in the insert box taking care to pull out the antenna as much as you can.
6. Verify proper On/Off switch operation.

PROGRAMMING

In order to add the Micro Transmitter to a different installation from the original one, or to one with interference from a nearby system, it is necessary to program a different code.

The programming address is made up of a "HOUSE" code (from A through P) and a "UNIT" code (from 1 through 16). The factory default address of the transmitter/ receiver pair is set at A1; proceed as follows to set a different code.

A. Accessing programming mode.

• Press the Micro Transmitter's START (1) and STOP (0) buttons briefly and simultaneously. The LED turns YELLOW.

Then the LED lights up RED once (for the HOUSE CODE), then GREEN once (for the UNIT code). The Micro Transmitter is in the A-1 setting.

You have 6 seconds to program a new code.

B. Setting the HOUSE CODE.

• Press the (1) button as many times as needed to get to the desired HOUSE CODE and then release it.

Example: A = Press once, B = Press twice, C = Press three times, ... P = Press 16 times.

• After having set the HOUSE CODE, the LED will flash YELLOW 3 times to confirm the code has been memorized and exit from programming mode.

C. Set the UNIT CODE.

• Repeat step A only.

• Press and release the (0) button as many times as needed to get to the desired UNIT CODE and then release it.

Example: 1 = Press once, 2 = Press twice, 3 = Press 3 times... 16 = Press 16 times.

• After having set the UNIT code, the LED will flash YELLOW 3 times.

VERIFICATION

Let the Micro Transmitter be recognized by the receivers.

Verify On/Off switch operation.

You must wait about a second between each On / Off command.

When changing the battery, the registered code will be retained by the Micro Transmitter.
