Why is my heating massage pad not heating or heating only on one side?

Ensure that the fleece side of the cover is placed against the "heat and massage" side of the white pad. Heat and massage are only produced from that side.

The control indicator is flashing and the pad no longer heats. What should I do?

The pad has an auto shut-off after 30 minutes. To reactivate, set the heat and massage controls to Off, then set them to the desired settings again.

How long does it take for the pad to become hot?

The pad is designed to heat up quickly and reaches high temperature in about 10 minutes.

My pad does not seem hot enough. Is this normal?

The pad provides the highest possible level of heat while maintaining a safety margin. If the heat seems insufficient, check that the fleece side is oriented correctly and that the Aquifer sponge is properly positioned for moist heat.

Why should I not sit or lie on the pad?

Sitting or lying on the pad can damage the internal wires and cause burns. It is also important not to fold the pad and to leave one side exposed for air circulation.

The control indicator stays on even when I am not using the pad. Is this normal?

Yes, the indicator reminds you to unplug the pad after use for safety reasons.

How do I use the moist heat function?

Remove the Aquifer sponge, saturate it with warm water, and squeeze out excess. Place it inside the cover under the fleece side. Plug in and set the control as for dry heat.

How do I care for my heating massage pad?

Machine wash the fabric cover in cold water with mild soap, then tumble dry low heat. Clean the pad with a damp cloth, no chemicals. Do not immerse the control.

What if my pad stops working or is defective?

Contact Kaz Customer Service at 1 800 477-0457 or by email at [e-mail]. Do not return the product to the store. The 2-year warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.

Can I use the pad with an adapter or voltage converter?

No, the pad is designed for a 120 volt AC outlet only. Using an adapter can damage the unit and pose a safety risk.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Heat therapy relaxes muscles and relieves joint pain and soreness. By increasing blood flow to the injury area, heat therapy can help accelerate healing. Finally, heat can effectively warm and loosen stiff muscles before exercise. Moist heat provides deeper heat penetration than dry heat alone. Moist heat is physician recommended.

Gentle, energetic massage coupled with moist heat therapy provides added relief from back, menstrual, arthritis and muscle pain.

Kaz heat therapy products provide relief from back, menstrual, arthritis and muscle pain. Please note that the pad must be placed on the injured area, but not under your body, for safe operation. (see Figures 3A-D)

Dry Heat

1. Connect power pack cord to the controller (see Figure 1)
2. Remove the Aquifer™ sponge from pad and plug the power pack into a 120 volt AC electrical outlet. Set the control to desired setting. (see Figure 2)
3. Place the fleece side of the cover on the area to be treated – See Figures 3A-D for examples of how to position heating pad.

Moist Heat

1. Connect power pack cord to the controller (see Figure 1)
2. Remove and saturate the Aquifer™ sponge with warm water and wring out the excess.
3. Place the sponge under the fleece side of cloth cover.
4. Plug the power pack into a 120 volt AC electrical outlet.
5. Set the control to desired setting. (see Figure 2)
6. Place the fleece side of the cover on the area to be treated - See Figures 3A-D for examples of how to position heating pad.

Automatic Shut-off

Your heating pad is equipped with a special safety feature designed to shut the heating pad off after 30 minutes of use. When the automatic shut-off feature turns the pad off, the indicator light on the controller flashes slowly to let you know the pad has shut off. To restart the pad, set the heat and massage controllers to off and reselect the desired settings.

CARE AND CLEANING

Machine wash cloth cover in cool water, using a mild detergent.
- Hang dry or tumble dry on a cool setting.
- Wipe the pad clean with a damp cloth, do not use chemicals.
- DO NOT IMMERSE OR WET CONTROLLER.
- Reinstall the cover on the white pad when the cover is dry. Match the fleece side of the cover against the "Heat and Massage" side of the white heating pad.

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Why is my massage heating pad not getting hot or hot only on one side?
A: This type of heating pad only produces heat and massage on the fleece side of the cover. Please ensure the fleece side of the cover is matched against the "Heat and Massage" side of the white pad.
Q: I was using my massage heating pad and now it isn't producing heat and the controller is flashing.
A: This heating pad is equipped with an automatic shut-off safety feature to shut itself off after 30 minutes. To restart once it shuts off, set the heat and massage controllers to off and reselect the desired settings..
Q: How fast should my massage heating pad heat-up?
A: Your massage heating pad is specially designed for the fastest heat-up safely possible. Your massage heating pad should reach the high temperature setting in about 10 minutes.
Q: My massage heating pad doesn't feel hot enough?
A: Your massage heating pad is specially designed for the highest heat possible and allow a margin for safety.
Q: How come I can't lay or sit on my massage heating pad
A: Laying or sitting on the pad could damage the wires in the pad. It's also very important to avoid folding or creasing the pad. Additionally, the pad needs to have one side exposed to the open air at all times so it can breathe for safe operation. Using the pad any other way could cause damage to the pad or cause burns.
Q: Why is the light on the controller lit when I'm not using my massage heating pad - I'd prefer it off.
A: Your massage heating pad is equipped with an extra safety feature to help alert you to unplug your heating pad after use.

WARRANTY

This heating pad is warranted against defective material or workmanship from the date of purchase. The length of the warranty is 2 years.

Any defective part will be repaired or replaced at no charge as long as it has not been repaired or tampered with and was used according to these printed instructions. Any charges incurred to ship the product back for replacement are the sole responsibility of the consumer. This warranty gives you specific legal rights as well as other rights, which vary from state to state.
