How to install the Genius NB300 driver?

Insert the VideoCAM NB300 software CD-ROM. The installation screen should appear automatically. Click on Utility Driver and follow the instructions. Make sure to install DirectX from the CD. If the screen does not appear, go to Start > Run and type D:\SETUP.EXE (assuming your CD drive is D).

What to do if the installation screen does not appear?

If the installation screen does not appear automatically, open the Start menu, click Run and type D:\SETUP.EXE (replace D with the letter of your CD-ROM drive). Then follow the on-screen instructions.

How to use the security monitor?

In the VideoCAM interface, click on the security monitor icon (icon F). You can configure the time range. The camera automatically records movements. If there is no movement, the recording stops after 4 seconds. Files are saved in C:\WINDOWS\Album.

How to adjust exposure in bright environment?

In case of high brightness, open the Camera Control > Control > Exposure menu in the VideoCAM interface to adjust the camera exposure.

Where are the video recordings saved?

Video recordings are stored by default in the folder C:\WINDOWS\Album.

How to uninstall the software?

To uninstall the software, go to Start > Programs > VideoCAM NB300 > VideoCAM NB300 Uninstall. Follow the on-screen instructions to completely remove the software and driver.

How to take a photo with this webcam?

Use the screenshot button on the VideoCAM interface (icon D) or press the Snapshot button located on the camera housing to take a photo. The photo will be saved in the default folder.

How to convert an AVI file to MPEG?

In the VideoCAM interface, use the H icon to convert an AVI file to MPEG format. This function reduces the size of video files.

Does the webcam work with video conferencing applications?

Yes, the Genius NB300 is compatible with video conferencing and video chat software. You can use it with applications like Skype, Zoom, etc.

What to do if the webcam is not recognized?

Make sure to install the USB driver before connecting the camera. Disconnect the camera, uninstall the driver and software via Start > Programs > VideoCAM NB300 > Uninstall. Then reinstall the driver following the correct procedure: install the software first, then connect the camera.

1. Installing VideoCAM NB 300 software

A. Insert the VideoCAM NB 300 software CD into CD-ROM drive.
B. After few seconds, the setup screen will show the picture of VideoCAM NB 300. Click the "Utility Driver" then simply follow the on-screen instructions.
C. Please remember to install DirectX of the CD-ROM.

Notice:

If the setup screen doesn't show the picture of VideoCAM NB 300, please proceed the following installation:

• Go to the taskbar and click Start then Execute.
• Type D : \SETUP.EXE , then click Enter

• Make sure to install the USB driver before connecting the device otherwise unable to install properly. If you encounter problems, uninstall the driver and software then follow the proper installation.
• Should you need the device under high luminance environment, please follow the steps as below:

If there's no movement, it will shut down automatically after four seconds or until there is new movement. It's a great security monitoring system and you can set the software so it works at times when you're not around.
