Frequently Asked Questions - CVDE46 LA SOMMELIERE

How to set the temperature of the wine cellar?
Use the button for the upper zone and the button for the lower zone. Press once: the current temperature flashes, then each press decreases the temperature to the maximum value, then returns to the initial setting.
Why is the wine cellar not cooling enough?
Check the set temperature, the door closure, the absence of a heat source nearby, and that the door gasket adheres properly. Too frequent opening can also be the cause.
How to reverse the door opening direction?
Open the door, remove the screws from the lower hinge, unclip the door, swap the screws on each side, unscrew the upper hinge and install the provided hinge on the opposite side, then reassemble the door by fixing the lower hinge. Finally, move the handle.
How to clean the interior of the wine cellar?
Turn off and unplug the appliance. Remove the shelves and clean the interior with a mixture of warm water and baking soda (2 tablespoons per 1 liter of water). Clean the shelves with a mild detergent.
What does the audible alarm and the display 'LO' or 'LI' mean?
'LO' appears if the internal temperature drops below 0 °C, and 'LI' if it exceeds 23 °C. The audible alarm triggers in both cases. Check the ambient temperature and the door closure.
The wine cellar makes clicking or gurgling noises, is this normal?
Yes, these noises are normal. Clicking comes from the flow of refrigerant, and gurgling indicates the end of a cycle. Contraction/expansion sounds from the walls are also normal.
How to replace the light bulb?
Cut off the power supply. Remove the 2 screws from the upper shelf, push the LED cover to the left, remove the LED panel, unscrew the 2 screws, remove the old LED and install the new one. Reassemble in reverse order.
Can I install the wine cellar in an unheated garage?
No, the climate class N requires an ambient temperature between 16 °C and 32 °C. Below that, the appliance may not work properly; above that, consumption increases.
What to do in case of a prolonged power cut?
If the outage lasts more than a few hours, open the door as little as possible. For a long absence, empty the cellar, clean it, and leave the door slightly open to prevent mold.
How to save energy with my wine cellar?
Install the cellar in the coolest part of the room, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Limit door openings and check that the door gasket is in good condition.
