Frequently Asked Questions - CUT (MKII) Mixars

How do I connect turntables to the Mixars CUT MKII?
To connect turntables, use the Phono/Line inputs on each channel. Set the selector to Phono. If your turntable has a built-in preamp, select Line.
How do I adjust the crossfader curve?
The crossfader curve is adjustable. Use the dedicated controls on the top panel to switch from a smooth curve to a sharp curve (ideal for scratching).
What does the Reverse function on the crossfader do?
The Reverse function reverses the direction of the crossfader. Thus, the left channel becomes active when the fader is to the right, and vice versa. This allows advanced scratching techniques.
How do I use the microphone input?
Plug a microphone into the MIC input. Use the Gain knob to adjust the level and the 2-band equalizer to adjust the treble and bass.
How do I pre-listen to a channel on headphones?
Connect your headphones to the 6.3 mm or 3.5 mm output. Use the Cue selector to choose the channel to pre-listen. Master Cue allows you to listen to the final mix.
What cables should I use for the Master outputs?
The Master XLR output is balanced (male XLR) for professional speakers. The Master and Rec RCA outputs are unbalanced and are used to connect an amplifier or recorder.
Can I connect a CD player or line source?
Yes, use the Line inputs of the channels. Select Line on the corresponding selector for CD players, computers, or other line-level sources.
How do I clean the mixer?
Unplug the device before cleaning. Use a dry, soft cloth. Never use solvents, abrasive products, or liquids.
What should I do if the device does not turn on?
Check that the power cord is properly connected to the AC-In socket and that the Power switch is ON. If the problem persists, have the device checked by qualified personnel.
Is this device suitable for scratching?
Yes, the Galileo Kallisto contactless fader, adjustable curve, and Reverse function make it an ideal mixer for scratching and battle DJing.
