How to secure the device for transport?

Lower the guillotine completely, then slide the adjustable stop fully to the right until it contacts the handle. The guillotine is then locked.

• The Paper Trimmer is not a toy. Incorrect operation of the appliance could lead to serious physical injuries, especially of deep cut wounds.
  After use do not leave the Twin paper cutter with the cutting edge exposed!
• NEVER use the appliance without the blade guard and NEVER cut from the right-hand side of the Twin paper cutter!
  DO NOT touch the cutting edge!
  Children may only be in close vicinity to or use the Twin paper cutter when under supervision!.
• This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with restricted physical, physio-logical or intellectual abilities or deficiencies in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how the appliance is to be used.
  Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Should the inertness of the standard trimmer become such that the cutting blade falls back to its start position by itself, tighten the screw at the pivot point of the standard trimmer (SW 14).
• Do not attempt to trim more than the given paper volumes (for other materials or thicker paper and cardboard, only 1 piece first, as a test).
• No liability will be accepted for personal injuries resulting from improper usage.

Preparation

• Remove all packaging material from the appliance.
  Caution: The guillotine A is very sharp. Risk of injury!
  Pull the transport protector from the guillotine A and push the handle on to the blade.

Utilisation

Use of the rotary trimmer

1. Slide the rotary trimmer F downwards.
2. Position the document under the trimming rail .
3. Use the adjustable stop and the black markings on the measurement template D to align the document exactly.
4. Press the document onto the measurement template D and draw the rotary trimmer F to the top.

Use of the standard trimmer

Caution: The standard trimmer is very sharp. Risk of personal injury!

1. Position the document under the blade guard ③ and press it down firmly, such that the document cannot move whilst being trimmed.
2. Use the adjustable stop and the blue markings on the measurement template to align the document exactly.
3. Press the standard trimmer A downwards.

Securing and transportation

To protect the Paper Trimmer both from improper use and during transportation, the standard trimmer is fitted with a securing device.

1. Press the standard trimmer A down completely.
2. Slide the adjustable stop completely to the right and against the handle.

The standard trimmer is now secured for transportation.

The rotary trimmer does not need to be fixed down as it is secured by the trimming rail E

Disposal

Disposing of the appliance

Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved dis-posal centre or at your community waste facility.

Observe the currently applicable regulations.

In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.
