EN • The coding in this manual is generic and applies to all code variants of the appliance.

Read the following instructions carefully before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

• Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the product's rating label and that the plug is earthed.
• This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices
• If the appliance is to be used in a bathroom, it must be unplugged from the wall socket after use, as the proximity to water could be a risk even with the appliance switched off.

- This icon means that the appliance must not be used in bathtubs, showers, or any other water-filled tank.

- WARNING: do not use the appliance near bathtubs, showers, sinks, or other water-filled containers.

- Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service to avoid any danger.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.

- Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid. Do not

expose electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are completely dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.

- The appliance must not come into contact with flammable material. Also, it must not be used near flammable material.

- Do not use the appliance if the cable or any other part shows some kind of damage. In this case, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.

- This appliance must be checked frequently for signs of wear or damage. If the appliance shows visible signs of misuse, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. Do not try repairing this appliance by your own means.

- In case of defect or malfunction, turn off and disconnect the appliance immediately.

- Do not hold the appliance by the barrel or near it when switched on. The barrel can cause burns. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes.

- The device may reach high temperatures during use. Avoid contact between the device and the face, neck, and scalp.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance comes in a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging materials in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all items are recycled properly.
• Check that all parts and components are included and in good condition. If any of them are missing or damaged, please contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service immediately.
• Do not remove the product's serial number in order to keep proper traceability if technical assistance is required.

3. OPERATION

The hair must be clean and dry before using the appliance.

1. If you wish to use the hair curler at 90° , attach the 90° attachment first and then the curling head.
2. If you want to use the hair curler in a straight position, attach the curling head directly on the body.
3. Connect the plug to the power socket and press the power button to switch on the device.
4. Repeatedly press the power button to change the temperature between the 4 available temperatures (140 °C, 160 °C, 180 °C, 200 °C). The indicator light will flash while the appliance is heating up and will remain steady when it reaches the optimum temperature.
5. After 5 seconds without pressing any button, the hair curler will automatically lock. Press the power button twice to unlock.
6. Divide your hair into sections. Take strands of hair about 3-4 cm long and roll them over the curling head.

NOTE: Be careful that the head does not touch the scalp, as you could burn yourself.

1. Keep the strand rolled up for 5-8 seconds.
2. Remove the head and, to fix the curl, keep it rolled up until it cools down completely.
3. Comb the curls if you want a more natural look.
4. When you have finished using the device, unlock it, turn it off by pressing the power button for a few seconds and unplug it from the power outlet.
5. Press the release buttons to remove the curling head and/or the 90° head.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Turn off and disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before cleaning it.
• Place the appliance on a heatproof surface until it cools down before cleaning or storing it.
• Wipe it exclusively with a damp (not wet), soft and clean cloth.
• Do not immerse the device in water or any other liquid.
• Do not wrap the cable around the main body or the curling head, as this could damage it.
• Store the device in a safe and dry place and keep it out of the reach of children.

5. TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM	POSSIBLE CAUSES	POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
The hair curler does not switch on	It is not correctly connected to the power socket.	Check that the socket is live and connect the plug correctly.
	You did not press the power button.	Press and hold the power button to turn the device on or off.
90° head does not fit	You are trying to attach the head in the wrong direction.	Note the alignment markings on the 90° head. With the power button on the main body facing you, the 90° head should be positioned by turning it to the left.
Curling head does not fit	You are trying to attach the head in the wrong way.	The curling head has a specific way to be placed on the body or on the 90° head. Note the alignment markings on the head to fit it correctly.

WARNING:
Do not try to repair the hair curler on your own. If the problem persists after performing the checks described, please contact authorised personnel, the shop where you purchased the product, or Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service.

6. DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES

This symbol indicates that, according to the applicable regulations, the product and/or batteries must be disposed of separately from household waste. When this product reaches the end of its service life, you must remove the batteries/accumulators and take it to a collection point designated by local authorities.

For detailed information on how to properly dispose of electrical and electronic equipment and/or the corresponding batteries, consumers should contact their

local authorities.
