2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance comes in a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging materials in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all items are recycled properly.
• Check that all parts and components are included and in good condition. If any of them are missing or damaged, please contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
• Do not remove the serial number of the appliance in order to keep a correct traceability of it in case of assistance.

3. OPERATION

Installation

• The appliance must be placed on a flat, stable, and dry place and kept away from corrosive materials, heat, and humidity-producing substances or appliances, such as burners or water.
• The appliance must be placed at least 5 m away from TVs, radios, or antennas.

• The appliance must be placed in such way that the plug is accessible, and the socket must be properly earthed to avoid electric shocks.

• Make sure to close the microwave door for proper operation.

• Do not place the microwave inside a cupboard. This appliance is not suitable for built-in installation.

Warning:

• To ensure good performance, the appliance must be properly ventilated. Leave at least 30 cm of free space on top of the appliance, 10 cm at the back, and 10 cm at the sides. Fig. 2
• Do not cover or block the openings of the appliance.
• Do not disassemble the feet.

Operating instructions

1. Cooking settings

1) From the standby state, turn the selector to set the desired cooking time.
Note: The timer can be set from 0:15 to 6:00.

2) Once the time has been set, the microwave will immediately start cooking at full power. Note: This model operates with a single fixed power level.

3) At the end of the cooking cycle, the microwave will beep five times to indicate that the cooking cycle is complete and will automatically return to the standby state.

Important notes:

a. Interruption by the door: If the microwave door is opened during operation, the display will turn off and the timer will pause. In this case, the audible beep will not sound. To resume cooking, close the door and restart the cooking time.
b. Time setting during cooking: You can set the remaining cooking time at any time during the cycle by simply turning the selector.
c. Immediate Stop: To stop the microwave at any time, turn the selector switch to the "0" position. The microwave will stop operating and beep five times before returning to standby.
d. Increased Time: Each increment on the selector represents a time adjustment of 15 seconds in the cooking time.
e. End of cooking beeping: At the end of the cooking cycle, the microwave will beep five times to audibly remind you that the cooking process is complete.

Operational specifications:

• The first time you turn the control knob after the microwave enters the energy saving state, a single beep will sound to confirm activation.

• For subsequent time settings, if the time increment is less than 5 seconds, no beep will be heard. If the time increment is greater than 5 seconds, a single beep will sound with each setting.

• Standby status: The microwave automatically enters the standby state once a cooking cycle has been completed.

• If the door is opened during cooking, the microwave will also return to the standby state.

Guide to recommended times

The following table provides reference times for heating or cooking some common foods in the microwave. These times may vary according to the quantity, the initial temperature of the food and the power of the microwave. It is recommended to monitor the process and adjust as necessary.

Popcorn (Popcorn)	2:00 min	Ideal program for preparing popcorn in microwave-safe bags. Follow the instructions on the package for best results.
Coffee (Café)	1:00 - 2:00 min	Recommended time to heat a cup of coffee or tea. Adjust the time according to the amount of liquid and the desired temperature.
Cheese	30 sec	Function for melting cheese on dishes such as nachos or sandwiches. Use microwave-safe containers.
Bread	15 sec	Heats bread or pastries quickly. It is recommended to wrap it in a damp napkin to prevent it from drying out.
Hot Dog	45 sec	Option to heat a hot dog sausage. You can place it inside the bread to heat it together.
Hamburger (Hamburger)	1:30 - 2:30 min	Heats pre-cooked or reheated hamburgers. Make sure it reaches the safe internal temperature.

Additional advice

- Adjust the time according to the amount of food and the power of your microwave.

- Always use microwave-safe containers.

- Stir or rotate foods as needed to heat evenly.

- Allow food to stand for a few seconds after heating, as the temperature may continue to rise after removal from the microwave.

Microwave-safe containers

Only use microwave-safe containers. In general, heat-resistant ceramic, glass or plastic ones are. Never use metal containers, as sparks may be produced. If you are in doubt as to whether or not a container is suitable for the microwave, please refer to the table below.

Tips

Placing food

Place the thicker parts of the food to be cooked towards the outside of the base and the thinner parts towards the inside. Make sure that the food is properly distributed, i.e. that no food is too close together or stuck together.

Setting the cooking time

Select a short time setting and, once cooking is complete, add more minutes if necessary. If you overheat food, it may burn and smoke.

Cooking food evenly

If you are cooking chicken, burgers or steaks, turn them over halfway through the cooking process.

There are some foods that need to be stirred (from the outside to the inside) once or twice during the cooking process.

Do not remove the food from the microwave immediately after cooking is complete

After the cooking time has elapsed, do not remove the food from the microwave immediately. In this way, it will finish cooking thoroughly and cool gradually.

Knowing if the food has been cooked correctly

The colour and hardness of the food help to determine whether it is properly cooked. The following cases indicate good cooking:

• Steam comes out evenly from the food, not just from the edges.
• Bird parts are movable and not stiff.
• There is no trace of blood on meat or poultry pieces.
• Fish pieces can be cut with a fork.

Using a browning pan

When using a specific browning pan or a self-heating pan, always place a heat insulator underneath (e.g. a porcelain plate).

Microwave-safe plastic film

When cooking foods with a high fat content, do not let the cling film come into contact with the food to prevent it from melting.

Microwave-safe plastic cookware

Some microwave-safe plastic cookware may not be suitable for cooking foods with a high fat or sugar content. In addition, it must always be ensured that the preheating time specified in the cookware's instruction manual is not exceeded.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Warning: The appliance, as well as food remains, must be cleaned and removed regularly.

a. Disconnect the power cable from the socket before cleaning the appliance. Do not immerse in water or any other liquid when cleaning.
b. If you do not clean the microwave regularly, its service life will be affected.
c. Do not use abrasive cleaning products or scouring pads to clean the microwave.
d. Do not remove the mica plate.
e. If you notice that the microwave is emitting unpleasant odours, follow one of the 3 cleaning methods below:

1) Place several lemon slices in a cup and heat them at high power for 2 to 3 minutes.
2) Place a cup of red tea and heat it on high power.
3) Put in some orange peels and heat on high power for 1 minute.

f. When the microwave is not in use, place it in a dry and ventilated place.

When you have finished using the microwave, wipe the inside surfaces that have come into contact with food with a damp cloth to remove any residue and then dry them thoroughly.

Accumulated grease can overheat and start to smoke or catch fire.

Cleaning the viewing window, inside door panel and oven front.

For optimum performance and to maintain a high level of safety, the inside door panel and oven front must be kept free of food or grease buildup. Clean these parts with a mild detergent, rinse and dry. Do not use abrasive powders or scouring pads.

Cleaning of the control panel and plastic parts.

Do not apply detergent or alkaline aerosol liquids on the control panel and plastic parts, as this may damage these parts.

Use a dry cloth (not a damp cloth) to clean these parts.

Cleaning the inside of the oven.

After each use, be sure to clean up spilled liquids, oil splashes and food debris as soon as possible. If the oven is used when dirty, its efficiency decreases and dirt becomes embedded in the surface of the oven, which can cause bad odours.

Clean the interior with a cloth dampened in warm water with a dissolved mild detergent, then remove the soap with a damp cloth.

CAUTION: Do not use bleach, thinners or other aggressive products to clean the plastic or painted parts of the microwave, as they may deteriorate, deform or discolour.

5. TROUBLESHOOTING

The following is a guide to identifying and troubleshooting common problems that may arise in the use of a microwave oven. Some behaviours may be normal and do not require repair, while others may indicate a fault that needs to be addressed.

Normal operation

Situation	Explanation
Interference with TV or radio reception	Radio and television signals may be interfered with when the microwave is in operation. This is similar to interferences caused by other small electrical appliances, such as blenders, vacuum cleaners or electric fans. This is normal behaviour.
Dim microwave light	During low power cooking, the microwave light may dim. This is normal.
Steam build-up on the door or hot air coming out from the ventilation grilles	During cooking, steam may escape from the food. Most of the steam is expelled through the vents, but a small amount may condense on cold surfaces such as the microwave door. This is normal.
Accidental ignition without food inside	Do not operate the microwave without food inside, as this can be dangerous.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Possible cause	Solution
The microwave does not turn on.	The power cord is not properly plugged in.	Unplug and plug in again after 10 seconds.
	The fuse is blown, or the circuit breaker has tripped.	Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker, contact the official Cecotec Technical Assistance Service.
	Issue with the power socket.	Test the socket with another electrical appliance.
The microwave does not heat.	The door is not properly closed.	Make sure the door is properly closed.

The microwave emits unusual noises.	Non-microwaveable utensils are being used.	Use only microwave-safe containers.
	Internal parts of the microwave are dirty or wet.	Clean the inside and make sure it is dry before use.
The display does not work or shows an error.	Power failure or voltage fluctuations.	Unplug the microwave, wait a few minutes and plug it in again.
The microwave heats unevenly.	Incorrect power selected.	Adjust the cooking power according to the needs of the food.
	The food is not placed correctly on the microwave base.	Distribute the food evenly in a microwave-safe container.
Sparks or flashes are perceived inside the microwave.	Use of metal containers or containers with metal details.	Do not use metal, aluminium foil or dishes with metal edges in the microwave.
	The inside of the microwave has food residue or grease build-up.	Clean the inside of the microwave oven thoroughly to avoid electric arcing.
