  • Store the vehicle in a flat and stable place; store it in a well-ventilated and dry place.
  • Store the battery at 30%-50% charge level to ensure battery life.
  • Try to avoid exposure to sunlight and rain to reduce damage or ageing of components.
  • When storing the battery for a long period of time, charge it fully before use.
  • For vehicles equipped with batteries stored indoors, in showrooms, warehouses or transported short distances in charging vehicles, after switching off and removing the key, remove the battery plug to eliminate possible electrical faults.

Long term storage

  • When storing for a prolonged period, disconnect the battery plug after switching off and removing the key to interrupt the battery supply circuit (as detailed in section 10.1. "Battery removal"), thus avoiding over-discharging the battery.

10.5. Battery use, precautions

ATTENTION

The battery can be a TREMENDOUSLY DANGEROUS (life threatening) item if not handled correctly. Please follow all the instructions in this manual carefully.

  • Keep the battery away from children, fire and heat sources. It is strictly forbidden to throw it into the fire. Violent movements, blows and extrusion are prohibited. Avoid storing the battery in a location with a risk of falling, which may cause uncontrollable damage inside the battery and may cause leakage, heating, smoke, fire or explosion.
  • Only the specified charger must be used, and the use of other chargers to charge the battery is prohibited. Use of a non-original charger may cause the battery to leak, heat, smoke, catch fire or explode.
  • This vehicle has undergone a strict inspection before leaving the factory, and disassembly is strictly prohibited. Contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service for any questions.
  • Do not expose the vehicle to a room environment above 40 °C for a prolonged period of time, as this may cause irreversible degradation of the vehicle's performance.
  • Charging temperature: 0 °C - 35 °C. The charging function is deactivated when the room temperature is below 0 °C. Please charge the battery in an environment above 0 °C.
  • At low temperatures, the capacity of the lithium battery will decrease to some extent. The specific benchmark is that the usable capacity at -10°C is 70% , the usable capacity at 0°C is 85% , and the usable capacity at 25°C is 100% .
  • The most suitable battery storage capacity is 30% to 50%. If the storage capacity is below 10% for a long time, it will cause an irreversible degradation of the battery capacity. If the battery is stored for a long time, please keep the battery at -10 °C \~30 °C and perform a full cycle of charging and discharging for the battery every two months to minimize the attenuation of battery storage.
  • Only authorised and qualified personnel may handle or remove the battery from the vehicle. If the battery is to be removed for charging, please follow the instructions mentioned in section 10.1. "Battery removal" and observe the precautions to be followed in that section.
  • The battery can be exchanged for an identical battery supplied by Cecotec. Only use original Cecotec batteries or batteries compatible with this model as expressly confirmed

ENGLISH

by Cecotec. Failure to do so may reduce the life of the battery and your vehicle. In the case of battery removal, be sure to handle the battery with care as indicated in this manual.

  • The battery should be transported at a low speed in order to avoid strong impacts. Use both hands when transporting the battery and move carefully and slowly.
  • Any damage to the battery (impacts, falls, contact with humidity, water or any other liquid, exposure to a heat source, exposure to temperatures above 35 °C) may cause the battery to catch fire.
  • If you notice any signs of damage to the battery, avoid connecting the battery and contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
  • In the event of a battery fire, it can be extinguished using water or CO2, unless it is connected to the mains or is in the vicinity of other batteries. In such cases, it is necessary to use a CO2 extinguisher to control the fire and move it to an isolated safe area at least 20 metres away from any exposure, such as other vehicles or batteries. Once in a safe place, it is important to contact the emergency services to manage the situation.
  • Opening the battery box is strictly forbidden and may represent a considerable risk and invalidate the warranty completely. Only authorised personnel are allowed to work on the battery box.
  • Disassembling the battery without permission may cause battery leakage, heating, smoke, fire or explosion. If smoke is observed coming from the battery, it is of the utmost importance to call the firefighters immediately and to remove it urgently from the enclosed space in which it is located.
  • The battery is not a user serviceable component. If there is a malfunction or the battery is not fully charged after 10 hours of charging, please stop charging and contact the electric vehicles retailer or the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.

11. EMERGENCIES

11.1. First aid and self help

  • In situations of battery breakage, smoke or fire, it is essential to prioritise the evacuation of personnel from the affected area and to provide adequate ventilation to disperse gases. It is recommended to seek medical attention immediately.
  • On contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water for at least 10 minutes, holding eyelids open to remove any residue.
  • If the skin comes into contact with harmful substances, remove contaminated clothing and wash the affected area with soap and water for at least 20 minutes. It is important to avoid the application of ointments.
  • In case of inhalation of fumes, move the person to a well-ventilated area outdoors and administer oxygen or artificial respiration as necessary.
  • If there is a brake fluid leakage and it comes into contact with the skin, the affected area must be washed immediately with water. If it comes into contact with the eyes, follow the same procedure and seek medical attention immediately.

11.2. Fire safety measures

  • Type D, CO2 and dry chemical extinguishers can be used to extinguish a fire in the battery.
  • It is crucial to be aware of specific hazards, such as overheating of the cells due to external sources or incorrect use.

12.2.1. Brakes

1) Brake lever free play:

The brake lever must have adequate free play. The normal free play should be 10 mm - 20 mm. Free play refers to the distance from when the lever is released until it feels tight when gripped.

2) Brake fluid check:

2.1 Position the handlebars straight and check the brake fluid in the reservoir. It must be kept between the upper and lower limit marks.
2.2 When the fluid level drops to the lower limit mark, check the brake pads for wear.
2.3 Brake fluid used: DOT3 or DOT4.

3) If the brake pads are worn within the specified limits, this usually indicates a leak; have them inspected by a repair shop.

When maintenance or repair of the braking system is required, please contact the nearest authorised repair shop or dealer for inspection. When replacing parts, it is necessary to use original parts from the authorised repair shop or dealer.

12.2.2. Wheels

  • Check and adjust the tyre pressure regularly before every journey.
  • Tyre pressure should only be checked when the tyres are cold. Normal front and rear tyre pressures are 225 and 300 KPa respectively (3).
  • Periodically inspect tyres for punctures, especially if there is any sign of air leakage, immediate repair should be carried out.
  • Check for cuts or sharp objects stuck in the tyre tread. Inspect the rim for dents, indentations or deformations. If any damage is found, contact the maintenance shop for inspection.

ENGLISH

Warning:

(1) If the tyre pressure is too high, the tyre may burst while driving, causing accidents. When tyre pressure is too low, the contact area between the tyre and the ground increases, leading to accelerated tyre wear, increased energy consumption and even rim slippage or disengagement of the tyre from the rim.
(2) Using excessively worn tyres is very dangerous as it affects the grip between the tyre and the road surface, leading to driving difficulties and even accidents. When the tread depth on the centre surface of the tyre reaches the specifications, the tyres must be replaced.
(3) The recommended tyre sizes and pressures given in this manual are for guidance only. We recommend that you always check the specific information on your tyre markings or consult the tyre manufacturer to ensure accuracy and suitability for your motorbike. This ensures safety and optimum vehicle performance.
